I would have probably found those segments much more interesting if I hadn't heard Sam rant about this exact topic in his youtube videos a billion fucking times. He's so anal about that hustler mindset that it was a huge breath of fresh air to hear him shit all over David Goggins saying you don't have to be in abject misery 24/7 to be successful and that exercise is fun. He's never gonna ease up on the point about "wasting" time though I suppose. By that logic I shouldn't watch any of his content cause I'm losing hours I could've spent creating something.

I think on that Hodge Twins podcast he admitted he has like 8 projects going simultaneously right now and if he ever finishes too many at once then he immediately starts getting depressed. Crazy work ethic but I'm not shocked he doesn't get the idea of just being content with what you have in life and enjoying existing and instead seeing it as a waste.

In contrast to me bitching and moaning: I really do like that Erick construction sketch lol. The recurring drug dealer character whose entire gag is that he shows up and berates people for buying his products and then beats them up is gold. Erick has some serious acting chops as well, I'm more impressed with him in every sketch.

I also like Erick and Nick going all in on the stereotypical spic voice in the coffee sketch and then Sam opens his mouth and sounds the exact same as usual

In that past 5 years hes put out fishtank(low effort slop, made up on the spot, wiggers carry the bulk), his NFTs(garbage that he had other people work to put out, already abandoned), ZIPP(a drink brand he has one of his wiggers working on), MDE(theres effort, but Nick saying that at one point he started thinking of lines ahead of time(AKA WRITING AS SHOW) that there was effort but its still fucking minimal lol. Those were just trolling and meant as an attempt to game the system and see if he would get more views creating weird ironic tiktok slop with subway surfers at the bottom etc. Not gonna act like that automatically makes them peak humor but I very much enjoyed the moment on PGL when Sam pulled them up and Nick all but begged him to turn that shit off.

Does anyone think Charls is actually funny or insightful in PGL? I get the impression that he's a competent writer and actor when it comes to sketches but every time he goes on about whatever topical conspiracy he's insufferable. Especially the whole "I dunno guys it's just FUNNY and WEIRD" schtick with...pretty much anything. The YT comments are always sucking him off after every episode as if we haven't heard his nuke denialism for the twentieth time.

I'm probably super late to this but I've been working through the backlog of stream clips and I can barely manage to get through the ones where he talks for any extended amount. Ruins the chemistry between Nick and Sam like 95% of the time. I know there's the whole history between them and Sam's probably trying to mend bridges but holy shit, he's almost convinced me that every single conspiracy theory actually is fake and gay.

I'll take my hats and trash cans. I just want to know why some people think he's funny or interesting to listen to. I haven't given any of his own streams a watch so maybe he's better outside of PGL.

It's a pretty common opinion on this thread. Charles is a freaking weirdo and not funny. I think people who like his "comedy" just like him as a person more than anything. Do you remember that segment from World Peace one where he's a gambler and he flies through the window? What is the humor in that?

Charls Breakup sketch has been by far the funniest of the season. Not sure why Sam approved of taking such an on-the-nose approach to the sociopolitical commentary in the rest of the sketches. MDE was always so good because you never really could figure out who they were making fun of, even if it became more obvious years down the road.

The doctor sketch is the worst offender, that same idea has been done far better a million times over. Unedited Footage of a Bear is more MDE than that was.

Also, we need more of this kind of shit, even if it wasn't really present in World Peace:

The sleazy retarded sales ads are an old MDE staple and need to return in some form or another. They did it better and sharper than anyone else did, even to this day.

Also, I will not take this Chuck slander. His particular brand of schizo was absolutely pivotal to the MDE's charm in the early 2010s.
