Buy it and support Western comedy you poor nigger. Surely you beasts know how to turn your EBT into cash.app gift cards to make an online purchase the same way you pay your Lexus leases two months late.
I bought it. And it's pretty boring. Compared to World Peace it is pretty embarrassing.

Maybe it is because of the constraints they had to navigate at Adult Swim or maybe it is just because Andrew Ruse was the real actual creative force behind World Peace, but almost all episodes of World Peace had one or two sketches that were hilarious on the surface but had a subtle hidden meaning or message. Many of them are timeless and memorable, even praised by the Talmudic critics. The show knew its audience and it felt like it was respecting its intelligence.

Now, watching Extreme Peace, it feels like they think a huge chunk of their audience is just following them for their aura of controversy and they have decided to lose all pretense in creative integrity. Instead, they have decided to serve the slop the lowest common denominator of the audience wants.

I'm mid way through episode 4 and I can't even remember what the last two sketches were about. Ho yes, how could I forget a sketch about an AI exposing the six millions hoax. Hilarious. Where am I now? Another TV show sketch, but about gay guys this time! If this was a Steam game, I would have asked a refund.

People who say that they find EP so funny really have not learned a single thing from the farms: just make peace and accept that you were raised by a single mother and stop looking for e-daddy figures on the internet.

I like Captain insurance fraud. And although I didn't laugh during the bartender skit I was completely enraptured by how incredibly violent and utterly without sense it was.

Sam Hyde feels like he wants to beat someone that mildly annoys him to death with a rock and have people pay him to watch it.

I watched a vice interview with a prostitute that said chargebacks are rape. I think it's time you commit rape.

man im gon say it,. fuck that nigga nick rocherfott
Nick is hit or miss for me, especially in Extreme Peace so far. his rambling, improvised delivery where he gives a bunch of little details about everything he says has been a bit much this season. hes capable of being extremely funny to me (ie the boomer story) and can be really good off the cuff, but you can tell hes just kind of riffing in a lot of these sketches and in the Are You Smarter Than A Gay Guy sketch i found myself cringing more than laughing. i didnt despise it, but it was pretty weak and you can tell he just went in there unscripted and it fell kinda flat imo. they definitely could've went in there with more of a script and trimmed the fat.

Nick is infinitely funnier just talking and bullshitting than he is in the EP sketches. Was kinda lame to see the bit they already used with the football sketch in the latest episode. Where Nick gets frustrated with the actors and just starts talking shit about them to the camera disregarding the script.

Edit: Nick is also much more of a diva than I ever would've imagined. In one of the newer PGL episodes he's telling Sam about trying to get into a popular comedy club and the door guy giving him trouble because there was a long waiting list. He called Shane Ghillis and cried about it and got the door guy to let him in after Shane bitched him out. Then he snuck an extra guy in and left early and couldn't understand why the door guy might be a little upset.

Spic robot was kind of funny but damn even the craigslist actors are funnier than them in their own show. It probably would’ve hit slightly harder 2 years ago but then how would they have milked their biggest retard dicksuckers with shitty stand-up and exclusive access to the first two episodes LIVE! But then again every single one of the retards who paid to go to the show gave the first two episodes rave reviews saying it was incredible, so there is no reason to think they would’ve criticized anything and maybe it wouldve been just as bad if they had released it without the long delay.

The ai sketch could’ve been funny. There’s tons of things they could’ve done with the concept of a rogue ai but instead they made say stuff about Hitler. The sketch is edited badly too and I think they just showed up that day with buck teeth and chink hat props and freestyled it. Brilliant commentary.

Nick sucks at improv and his best parts in wp2 were either the product of hours of improve and then lots of editing or were actually scripted ahead of time. It’s embarrassing to even watch him flail like that. I was looking forward to the insurance fraud sketch since nick talked about it a long time ago but they didn’t really do much with it. The bum care kit one could’ve been funnier too if they had given them more stuff or shown some of the bums in action. That sketch felt totally phoned in and cheap.

This guy was the only good part of the gay guy sketch. Way funnier than Nick.

Extreme Peace has been very surface-level so far. Skits are just a premise that gets performed. Nothing underneath it all.
In World Peace the compelling thing was how a skit could be focused on a mood, through dialogue or performance that hints at much more. Like Nick playing a teacher in that slanted classroom. there is a so much going on in the presentation, dialogue and mood of it. It points in a lot of directions, saying something about students, teachers the system itself. Feels dream-like. Its an interesting experience. A lot of World Peace is like this.
Extreme Peace tackled pharma in a clumsy way too when they handled it in a more complex interesting way in World Peace. Charles opening skit taking opiates to train is shorter and more interesting than any meandering 'Jew takes your money for pills you dont need' thing they did in Extreme Peace much later.

I think Nick is legitimately one of the funniest people on the entire planet, and although ive liked EP so far, I am a little disappointed in the sketches starring him. Just as a guy talking he's so fucking funny and I dont know what the disconnect was here but he's not landing what hes doing. I've still liked it overall, Charls and Erik are consistently the funniest of them in this particular show. It's not as good as the first season but not a total disaster as I thought it might be. At least for me most of it has landed.

Idk im not totally dickriding it but i dont think its awful either. but I also put like 0 stake into anything any of these guys do or say or think, I just think they're funny. I have legitimately never understood the how or why the parasocial fan following MDE has even happened or why anyone gives a shit about them outside of the funny videos/shows or the parts of PGL that are funny.

Charls Breakup sketch and Charls Rooftop sketch are both the best in the entire show so far. Dominican RoboCop was good too. AI Hitler thing was very surface level but still pretty funny and the graphics were good, but the filter was extremely distracting in a bad way, not in a funny MDE schizo way.

So far, my post earlier in this thread still stands, but I gotta say that episodes 3 and 4 have been much better than the first 2... but I have no clue why there are multiple game show sketches as they are easily the weakest part of the whole project. On Matan, Nick did an entire bit about having a retarded fat wife who likes motorcycles and it was funnier than the entire Gay Guy sketch, so I don't buy that Nick isn't good at improv without editing.

On the editing, there are some really good moments in Extreme Peace but it's clear that Sam needed to be more involved. It's just not tight enough a lot of the time.

The depth of the WP sketches just can't be replicated with zoomers on staff, they don't understand layering. I still like the show overall though.
