Two things can be true at once, Sam and crew got ratfucked by AS, and his show was a moderate success for an original property that was an absolute nightmare for the networks advertisers.

Look was the Call with Joe Bernstein fucking hilarous at the time? Yes, but in hindsight was it really the best thing to do while the network is getting hammered with bad press and advertisers are getting calls about how their product is funding a "nazi"? I'd agree that it was all a bad faith attempt to take him down, but that doesn't mean he had to chimp out and turn the cancelation percentage up from 75% to 100%.

The other thing that doesn't get brought up much is that it was extremely selfish for him
to publically self-immolate like that, WP wasn't just his show, and going off what Charls said in the past it really fucked him and Nick over that Sam was burning this bridge. Just like it was incredibly selfish and childish that Sam blew up this appearance on Harland's show because he felt like he was the butt of the joke, embarassing the rest of the crew in the process.

Charles got blackout drunk on stream in turkey and started literally crying and saying a bunch of shit about Sam (lots of gay accusations) but didn't even hint at marky. He said some crazy shit too so it's interesting he didn't bring up marky.

Probably the biggest evidence against the legitimacy of markyposting is the fact that Charls never mentioned anything about it even when he hated Sam the most. That and Null's brave interview with the Christmas Example.

Kind of implicates them too.

I don't think he reported him to the IRS, I think he put his name on bills that he then owed taxes on to avoid paying debts himself.

He did address it and unfortunately I can't remember when or find a clip but he for sure 100% did when the Soph video started gaining traction. It was also when he was still taking superchats directly from fans on one of his streams reviewing user submissions. Chris, who is notoriously bad at reading out loud, let the question slip passed and Sam was like, "fuck it, I'll address it. Marky was a fan of mine she used to work with me. She had nosebleeds which is how she first got attention from the freaks on 4chan in the first place. We posed for a picture and that's what you see in the meme."

He didn't deny/address having sex with her or anything but did "clear up" the allegations of him beating her and giving her the bloody nose. The photo was also released the exact same period when he was being memed for choking women because he took pictures of himself pretending to choke girls at parities. The meme was "the weak should fear the strong." One of earliest SH memes. So there's some added context.

I realize not having the link to back it up basically means I could just be lying but I don't really care and I know that Sam's word also isn't good enough for his biggest haters do there's not really a point anyway. Just posting what I remember.

That story originated from Charles vagueposting about people reporting OF models to the IRS many years ago. Sam's explanation was that he gave Charles a 1099 and didn't pay him under the table and Charles got confused.
