Are the wiggers and Sam legitmately trying to sell this as a tv show? As in shop it around to different networks? I dont really get the point of the edited episodes, and they dont seem motivated to do them either.
Episodes for Season 1 were about that. Edited to TV runtimes before Jet began to see reason once pushback from the audience poured in. Besides the obvious issue that probably no network would buy it.
I think a large part of them doing episodes at all is that it is just the skillset they had coming from MDE, It is what a lot of them were doing in general so it may have been seen as a pretty simple no-brainer value add, before they considered what working with that horrific audio and video quality would do to them.

Season 2 episodes appear to have suffered from Fishnet beginning to outsource the edits, restructuring the team and focus. I don't think if Jet and the core team where still editing that episodes would even be on the table anymore.

There is also the issue of preservation that I think they do care about these days more than episodes being an independent revenue stream, it is more like the shows permanent legacy, a nice bow on every season.

They could probably get it a kick sponsorship like how Icepiss gets his events funded but thats also would be a downgrade with so much rulefagging and no fun allowed.

There are probably a few companies willing to actually sponsor it though like Stickermuel did if they really reached out. I doubt the wiggers would be totally against product placement for dumb shit like those gamer power drink powders and other crap vtubers can shill.

The edits are meant to be a way to immortalize and enjoy a season after it's already been live in a comprehensive and digestible way with some possible new footage and angles you couldn't see yet. If not for the edits we would only have the shitty archives and clip channels to look back on and that really isn't a good way to actually watch Fishtank, it's only a good way to get caught up when it's still live. The edits are ideally a good way for people who can't watch a 24/7 livestream that has long bouts of nontent to still enjoy and support the show.

It sucks ass that the first season edits fucked up so badly at introducing this concept, if the s1 edits were actually good no one would be questioning the edits. Season 2 did a much better job and hopefully the Bloodgames edits will be top quality too.

Was thinking back to what @BullfrogBill said about how Steinful left out Tay throwing the mixture of piss and vomit on Frank in the edit and surely it wasn't because it was gross right? He kept in horrific, stomach churning footage of the hot dog puke contest and that was far nastier. Seems really weird to leave something that interesting out of the final edit.
I genuinely think it was a mistake because I don't see anyway Steinful could purposefully hype Tay up only to skip it entirely but reference it later on anyway. It seems to me like he intended to include it and forgot.

I finally finished the S2 finale and there's just something special about a FT season ending, where the last 2 fish are standing in the aftermath of everything that happened in the past 6 weeks. But only one is walking away with the grand prize. Battle scars from hell house are everywhere, the house itself is absolutely trashed, production and the freeloaders look exhausted and worn out, but a winner has been chosen after 2 gauntlet of challenges lasting 2 days.

The S3 ending was the odd one out but it was also kino in a different way.

BG2 needs to have NPC's that shout "THANK YOU JOSHUA MOON!"
I remember in season one where some of the TTS would get the fish to shout out Josh. I also remember there was a feature the allowed you to add a an additional category to vote for in any poll and a few “Joshua Connor Moon” choices snuck in. It was funny af watching the live chat react. “WHO THE FUCK IS JOSH MOON???”

I'm finally getting around to watching the season 2 edits after everyone ITT praised them. I already have to pause to make a post 3 minutes in, I swear I won't live comment my viewing...
Holy shit Trish's eyebrows are so bad I hate them. I could never see them on the livestreams, but with the other camera it is the first noticeable feature. The interview room in season 3 was a huge addition just for actually being able to see each fish clearly.

Trish was actually one of my favorite season 2 fish. This thread and the wider fishtank audience pretty clearly have a "tier list" of all the best fish, but mine would be completely different than most. I loved vance, damiel, and trish, even though they are all often shit on. Summer I think is often overlooked, almost every moment with her was comedy gold I think. (My personal favorite part of all of fishtank so far was Summer sitting in bedroom 2 post-meltdown and thinking the wood in the house making popping noises was Morse code because everything must be a clue and a puzzle (and she is insane)).

Of course jon jimmy and alex are stars too, but the more "normie" a contestant is, the more I actually like them, admittedly as a bit of a self insert, and Trish was that for me season 2 as a chill deli worker (I did that at her age). But damn, those eyebrows.
Edit: lmao 18 minutes in Sam calls her out on them. I concede, this first episode is good

You guys seriously don't believe they were trying to shop around a show hosted by Sam Hyde a blacklisted "Neo-Nazi" no mainstream outlet will touch with a 10 foot pole who also says nigger a bunch right?
Hard to really say with 100% certainty. I think Sam overestimates his level of acceptance because his proejcts aren't getting banned like they used to. He has a large demographic of fans and die hard supporters but a lot of people aren't willing to risk being associated with him due to the backlash. bicflame pretty much confirmed this on accident when he kept looking for underground rappers to shout out Zipp and nobody would do it.
I'm not surprised they couldn't find anyone to promote Zipp but I'm genuinely surprised they considered it a possibility in the first place.

So the S2 finale is up on the site, and there was a pretty interesting post-credit sequence of unseen footage from after the show.
Figured I'd post it here for posterity, since I'm unsure if it'll be in the Youtube cut; and for all the people that won't bother watching the edit.
(For context: the RISPCA is the Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, likely called in about the chickens)

Imagine the smell...

Isn't that bitch Doja Cat a confirmed Sam Hyde fan? I'm honestly surprised she wouldn't make a xitter post telling people to drink Zipp, period.
I think she disavowed. Suicideboys are unironic fans though I doubt we'll see them in Extreme Peace. Bones has a segment in the show and will be on tour with SB (with Joeyy too) during the premiere so we'll see if he catches any backlash.
I've personally witnessed a certain segment of the underground really embrace Sam's stuff and even right wing ideas in general but they really don't want to face the backlash from their faggy redditor audiences. Joeyy gets a crazy amount of love from artists when he plays festivals but there's an unspoken understanding why they don't take pictures with him.

She just wore a Sam shooter meme shirt, I doubt she knows who he is.

I thought I remembered her talking about it in an interview where she said she thinks Sam Hyde is funny and nothing else beyond that and criticized people who were saying she's a nazi for wearing the shirt. I think that puts her and John Maus as the only big musicians that refused to denounce Sam and MDE. I could be wrong but that's what I seem to remember.

It doesn't make much sense to be a rapper but care about faggot redditor shit, what happened to the punk mentality musicians used to have?
