I actually haven't followed the Kentosphere for some time now, but if I'm not mistaken at least one of them has used the phrase "Captain Save-A-Hoe" before. May have even been Kent himself.Funny thing is that he's pretty much stolen that idea from the likes of the Kentosphere, iirc. This guy really reminds me of Kent. @Darwin Watterson should be able to expand on the parallels.
(I never would have recognized him without that Avatar, I suppose autism wins again!)They aren't entirely wrong when they say they helped Manga. They alienated much of the core comic book reading audience to the point that many of them chose to dip into manga instead. It's not the audience keeping the comic industry afloat, it's the expensive and annoying advertising, constant licensing of their properties (games, movies, tv shows, films) for decades, and the fact that the Big Two are owned by companies that are willing to keep their comic division afloat.
Honestly, this guy really has the points down for the comparison between manga and comics.

So this post in the #Comicsgate thread kinda piqued my interest in Shawn:
It's really hilarious to watch some dude sperg on about ethics in Comic Book Writing while looking like a New Jack City character.I knew this was how this guy would pop back up. My last few posts were about his comic book sperging. Glad it's official and CG has a real bonafide cow in its presence again, making the scales a tad more equal with ACG, which is an endless cascade of the most incredibly angry and vitriolic people I've ever read posts from.
