The rumor is it was a bet between two producers to see if they could get the actors with the worst on set reputation in the same movie.

It already happened with "The Island of Dr Moreau".

Believe it or not, but the producers managed to team up Val Kilmer and Marlon Brando together and they thought it would be a good idea. That's the definitive proof for me that Hollywood is fueled by cocaine and nothing else. The shooting was so traumatic that the director retired altogether and almost killed himself.

Edit - hum, I was thinking about behavior on set, not necessarily "reputation". Anyway, Shia must be an ass to work with too.

Decided to check on the livestream. The flag is not just tattered, it's straight out ripped. Is this because of someone's doing, or is it just the lack of maintenance?

Likely just in need of maintenance. Flags take a beating in the wind, and based on the flag that was stolen, it's probably just cheap cloth.
I thought Mel was considered actually okay to work with and that it was his off set behavior that got him in trouble.

Mostly just people recording his phone calls, namely his ex wife (the 2nd one).

It honestly looks good. Labeouf is a pretentious ass. No disputing that. But shit, the guy worked his way up the ladder and I respect that. This might actually be good.

I wouldn’t say that. He was on a dumb Disney show until Steven Spielberg thought he was the next “it” actor and he starred in a bunch of movies that he acted poorly in.
