In Montana (where I live), the only requirement for having a registered business is filling out a one-page PDF and mailing it with a $20 check. I don't use checks, so I walked into the Capitol, went to the Secretary of State's office, and handed them a $20 bill and the form in person.

I'm still trying to sue Carroll, I'm considering getting my last few credits elsewhere, and I paid the $20 several years ago.

I pay over $60 a month for dedicated servers, a business phone number, several VPSes, about a dozen domains, and other business expenses.
