I find this funny because in his video the administrator says "Skylar, this is not a positive outcome". He was told, and didn't listen. Just like in the minds of any homosexual that saw his posters, zero fucks were given and nothing changed. Silicon valley is full of gays and SJW's, hence Hillary Clinton. With this 15 minutes of fame he sank his future as a google wunderkind or whatever he dreamed. He is a mere mortal like the rest of us now. Hope he's good at signing people up for TJ Maxx credit cards, he might just be able to feed himself.

Ok, so I figure most have now had the pleasure to listen to the nice meeting between Skylar and his mommy and the two poor souls who had to endure what must have been one of the most mortifying experiences those ladies ever had in their life.

Well, now that we all heard the audio, let's get some text going. I decided to grab the Investigation Report, and two supplemental statements, run them thru OCR, and see the results.

They didn't come out too bad! I cleaned up a little, but lot of formatting errors here and there. Be mindful if you want to quote any portion of that. I think some of you will have some choice comments to make.

The report gives an excellent timeline and plenty of info from the first poster going up to the horrible meeting. There are some great nuggets of info and some stuff we haven't discussed before, like his views in his classroom etc. Lots of first hand accounts of the shitstorm that Skylar caused. Also lots of his statements and views on shit etc.

It's great to see how the school looked at this whole debacle, as well as the effect it had on those who had the unfortunate luck to have to deal with Skylar and his psychotic mommy.

At the end are images of the actual pages which I spoiled to keep post size reasonably small.

So, have a :bluelabel: or a toke and Enjoy!!

THE EQUAL OPPORTUNITY INVESTIGATION REPORT

TO: Annette Walstad, Acting Vice President for Student Life
FROM: Renee McMahon, Director of Human Resources/Equal Opportunity Officer
CC: Skylar Ittner
DATE: February 9, 2017
RE: EQUAL OPPORTUNITY INVESTIGATION REPORT

Respondent: Skylar Ittner

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

On Monday, January 30, 2017, three Incident Reports, authored by Community Living Staff, were forwarded to me for the purpose of reporting a possible violation of College's Equal Opportunity policy. The reports described an incident that occurred on Friday, January 27, 2017, regarding posters posted in Simperman Hall. The posters referenced gay marriage and gay sex. The reports named Skylar Ittner, current Carroll College student, as the person responsible for posting the posters.

The posters had been removed from Simperman Hall on Friday, January 27, 2017, and remained removed as of Sunday afternoon, January 29, 2017.

On Monday, January 30, 2017, I received several e-mails from faculty members who witnessed Skylar Ittner re-posting posters in Simperman Hall that referenced gay marriage and gay sex. The faculty members took down the posters and reported them to me,Student Life, and Academic Affairs. I have decided to exercise my discretion to initiate the formal process to investigate this matter under the Equal Opportunity policy.

STATEMENT OF JURISDICTION

Carroll College has jurisdiction over this matter because the complaints allege a potential violation of Carroll's Equal Opportunity policy prohibiting harassment based on sexual orientation.

FACT FINDING

Week of January 23 - 27, 2017

It was reported that in a T/Th 11:00 a.m. Native American Studies class the week of January 23-2ih, a Carroll College student, Skylar Ittner, had declared strong anti-gay and anti-gay marriage sentiments that upset and offended other students in the class. A student who was in the class stated that Ittner declared that gay marriage and abortion were going to be made illegal under the new President, which he agreed with because "those were the worst laws ever enacted in the United States." When other students in the class referred to the diversity of America and how the Catholic Church was moving progressively in these areas, Ittner challenged them and asked them if they were referring to Vatican Ior Vatican II. It was reported that Ittner became frustrated and the situation escalated when students expressed confusion about what Ittner was asking them. The student stated that the professor handled the situation well and brought discussion back to the topic-at-hand, but students in the class were upset by and uncomfortable with what Ittner had asserted in the class.

I talked to the instructor of the Native American Studies class, Dr. Lauri Travis, to ask her perspective on the aforementioned situation with Mr. Ittner. According to Dr. Travis, the course topic the day of the reported incident was religion and how religion can be adaptive in different societies. Dr. Travis stated that abortion and gay marriage were the topics of lttner's statements on this particular day. Dr. Travis stated that Ittner has been a student in her class before this semester. Dr. Travis stated that on the day cited above, and in prior classes she has taught with Ittner, he becomes confrontational, belligerent and angry when others disagree with his religious beliefs. She stated that Ittner uses course topics, with a vengeance, as a platform to assert his religious beliefs, and he is oftentimes disruptive to the class. She stated Ittner has emotional outbursts and that she, and other faculty members, are fearful about the possibility of his anger triggering a violent reaction.

Although this situation pre-dates the complaint, it provides context to lttner's explanation about what has been occurring in the classroom and reactions to lttner's assertions.

Thursday, January 26, 2017

Assistant Director of Community Living, Emily Weideman, received a call from a Community Advisor (CA) to inform Weideman that she (the CA) had discovered posters in Simperman Hall that read, "Gay 'Marriage' is morally evil. All people deserve respect. This does not mean all activities should be

allowed. Love ;< gay sex." Weideman instructed the Community Advisor to remove the poster and to put it on Weideman's desk so that Weideman could follow up the next day to try to find out who had posted the poster.

Friday, January 27, 2017

Weideman consulted with Carroll's Information Technology department (IT) to attempt to learn who had created and printed the posters. IT informed Weideman that there was not a way to find out who had created and printed the posters.

Later in the afternoon, an IT staff member, Merwin Barrows, contacted Weideman to report that Barrows had observed Ittner posting posters in Simperman Hall. Ittner approached Barrows about the posters, stating that he (Ittner) had posted the posters but they had been taken down. Barrows observed Ittner making several copies of posters. Weideman went to Simperman Hall to discuss the situation with Ittner and ran into an Admission Counselor who was removing the posters. Weideman and the Admission Counselor approached Ittner and asked him to stop posting the posters. Ittner resisted the request to stop posting posters (stating that it was his right to post them). After a verbal exchange, Weideman contacted the Acting Vice President for Student Life, Annette Walstad. The Admission Counselor followed Ittner through Simperman Hall and observed Ittner continuing to post three different posters that read:

"GAY "MARRIAGE" IS MORALLY EVIL. ALL PEOPLE DESERVE RESPECT. THIS DOES NOT MEAN ALL ACTIVITIES SHOULD BE ALLOWED. Love ;t GAY SEX."

"DISAGREEMENT IS NOT HATE. I CHECKED THE DICTIONARY, JUST TO BE SURE. I DON'T HATE GAY PEOPLE, I DISAGREE WITH THEIR ACTIONS. THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE."

"I LOVE GAY PEOPLE SO MUCH, I WANT THEM TO GO TO HEAVEN. THAT IS NOT A BAD THING."

The Admission Counselor continued to remove the posters. Walstad entered a classroom where Ittner was packing his belongings, and, after speaking with him, Ittner left the building.

A faculty member sent an e-mail to Cathy Day with pictures of the posters referenced above and stated that Skylar Ittner was responsible for posting them. She included a copy of lttner's business card, Netsyms Technologies. The faculty member expressed concern over the poster content and included the co-advisor of the Gender Studies Association on the e-mail.

Sunday, January 29, 2017

Weideman toured Simperman Hall to see whether new posters had been posted. She noticed none.

Monday, January 30, 2017

Around noon, I received multiple e-mails from faculty members in Simperman Hall reporting that Skylar Ittner was posting "homophobic material." A faculty member approached Ittner about the posters and he began citing Catholic Catechism to her. The faculty member stated that Ittner stated "Homosexual actions shouldn't be tolerated, just like a serial killer's actions shouldn't be tolerated."

The posters read:

"LGBT: 3.5% Left handed: 10% Where are my special scissors? KeepCarrol/Catholic.org"

"Homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered. Catechism of the Catholic Church Paragraph 2357 KeepCorrol/Catholic.org"

On Monday afternoon, Patty White, Marketing & Communications Director, sent an all-campus e-mail that stated "Last Friday and today, posters were hung up on campus that contained derogatory statements based on sexual orientation. Students and faculty reported the incidents, and the posters were taken down immediately. Institutionally, we are working through our internal processes to immediately address, correct and resolve this specific situation. Carroll's policies prohibit discrimination and harassment based on sexual orientation. Please continue to report incidents of this nature to Renee McMahon, our Title IX Coordinator."

Tuesday, January 31, 2017

I received two separate e-mails from two different students regarding the posters posted by Ittner. One student stated that Ittner "has some radical beliefs when it comes to homosexuals and gay marriage" and "he (Ittner) is steadfast in his beliefs." The student stated that Ittner has put up posters before "but nothing quite of this magnitude."
The other student e-mail stated that the posters posted by Ittner were "harmful." The student stated that Ittner is aggressive if others do not agree with him, and she and other students are "worried about what he might do."

Thursday, February 2, 2017

Ittner and his mother, Victoria Hentz, met with me. Kevin Hadduck, Director of the Academic Resource Center (ARC), was present as a neutral witness.

I introduced myself and reviewed the Equal Opportunity and EO Grievance policies. I explained that I am not an advocate for Ittner or the Complainants and that the situation has moved to the Formal Process as outlined in the Grievance Procedure, which means that my role is to conduct a fact-finding investigation from which I will make a determination of whether lttner's conduct has created a hostile environment (considering not only whether the conduct was unwelcome but also whether a reasonable person in the situation would have perceived the conduct as objectively offensive). I also explained the preponderance of evidence standard and, if I find a policy violation has occurred, my report will include recommendations for action to the Vice President for Student Life. If that happens, I informed Ittner that he would have a right to appeal.

Ittner presented me with the following documents: FERPA release for his mother, Victoria Hentz; rubric of the number of visits and their locations to his website (I assume KeepCarrollCatholic.org); copies of the posters he created; two sections from the Carroll College Student Handbook: (1) Interim Suspension and (2) Carroll College will not exclude, expel, limit, or otherwise discriminate against...an individual enrolled as a student...because of race, creed, religion...unless based on reasonable grounds; and a formal complaint of discrimination against me and several others.

I asked Ittner what precipitated him to post the posters. He stated that, after 3 Y,years as a Carroll College student, he was "sick of anti-sentiments against Catholics." He stated that, during a recent Anthropology class, it was stated that culture shapes religion. He said that he was making a point that sometimes religion shapes culture. Ittner said that he used the example of the beliefs of Catholics and gay marriage. He stated that, due to the anti-Catholic response of his classmates, he decided to make a statement about the Catholic beliefs around this topic by creating and posting posters.

Ittner explained to me that he believes the actions of gay people are vulgar and sinful, not that a person is gay as he/she cannot control the sexual orientation, only what they decide to do through actions. He offered as an example that a person with aggressive tendencies is not immoral;it is when the person makes a decision to use a gun that it becomes immoral. He analogized that this is similar to a gay person who is immoral when he or she decides to have gay sex.

I asked Ittner about two specific posters, the one that states, "Where are my scissors?" and the one that references gay people going to heaven. He stated that the poster that referenced left-handed people and special scissors was an attempt at humor to bring to the fore how there are so many more left handed people than LGBT people but the LGBT community makes so much more noise and draws attention to themselves than people who are left-handed do. About the poster stating "I LOVE GAY PEOPLE SO MUCH, I WANT THEM TO GO TO HEAVEN. THAT IS NOT A BAD THING," Ittner stated that he wants all people to go to heaven, so there is nothing offensive about the message on the poster. I asked him if he understood that the poster could be construed to mean that he wanted gay people dead and that some might interpret it that way. Ittner stated that it is inconceivable to him that the poster could be construed as anything but good.

I asked Ittner if there might have been a different method that he could have chosen to deliver his message. I referenced LGBT posters that invite people to a discussion or to attend supportive meetings. Ittner stated that the posters he put up were intended to send a targeted message much like targeted advertising whereby the purpose is to change people's minds. He stated that putting up posters to invite people to discuss Catholic Catechism and traditional Catholic teachings would be inviting people who are like-minded to discuss something they already agree on. He stated that the posters were intended to engage discussion and evangelize against immoral behaviors.

Ittner continued to expound on gay sex. Ittner stated that gay sex is contrary to the will of God and, if people engage in it, "there is a good chance they will go to hell if they are not repentant." Ittner also stated that he told Monsignor O'Neill (Cathedral of St. Helena) that Carroll College suspended him from school and discriminated against him based on religion because he posted messages that defend the Church's teachings and cited Catechism of the Catholic Church. Ittner stated that Monsignor was "thunderstruck" and immediately called Carroll's Chaplin, Fr. Marc Lenneman, to discuss the issue.

Ittner became increasingly agitated as the meeting went on. By the end, his voice was raised, his speech was rapid, and he would not let anyone interject comments - he seemed frustrated. He stated that, unless the temporary suspension was immediately lifted, he planned to legally, publically, and socially expose Carroll College because he has been "discriminated against based on religion, by a Catholic school." He said over and over, "this will not end well for Carroll College." Kevin Hadduck reminded Ittner that the temporary suspension was not a result of him posting the posters but instead a result of the altercation he had with Cathy Day and Nina Lococo when they asked him to take down and not re post the posters without going through the approval process.

In the meeting, Ittner verbally rescinded his formal Equal Opportunity complaint of discrimination in order to review the Equal Opportunity policies. Ittner stated that, if he decided to pursue a claim of discrimination, he would submit a separate and different complaint (from the one submitted to me at the meeting).

E-mails

On Friday afternoon, several Carroll College employees forwarded an e-mail that they had received from Ittner. The e-mail stated that Carroll College administration discriminated against him based on his religion. Among other issues, but specific to this EO investigation, Ittner stated:

In short, I hung up posters stating Catholic teaching surrounding homosexual relations. Several people were "offended". Despite having regulations designed to protect persons in my situation, the college is pursuing two separate parallel investigations of the issue. They are treating it as harassment, discrimination, and a hate crime, quoting the same rules they are violating by the act of suspending me... Because I have been threatened with criminal charges for going to classes, I have setup a website for the issue. Please visit KeepCarrollCatholic.org for information and updates on the issue. I am filing complaints against the college and looking into legal action...I encourage you to share this email and the website with students and peers. It has many consequences for freedom of speech and freedom of religion for the Carroll community. If critiquing someone's actions is hateful and offensive, then nobody can be sure they will not be singled out for persecution.

Later in the day, Ittner sent another e-mail protesting his rights to access Carroll technology and encouraging people to contact him through his website, KeepCarrollCatholic.org.

I did not directly receive either of the aforementioned e-mails from Ittner. Anecdotally, it seems that many more faculty and staff members received the second e-mail than the first. It does not appear that students received either e-mails.

One faculty member responded to the e-mails by saying,"This is really frightening and am so sorry this is happening on our campus."

Releva nt Rad io
It was brought to my attention that lttner's mot her, Victoria Hentz, anonymousl y call ed i nto a l ive ta l k show ("Go Ask You r Fat her" hosted by Monsignor Stuart Swetla nd, President of Don nelly College,

Ka nsas City, KS) th rough the nati ona l Cat hol ic ra dio station, Releva nt Rad io. W hi l e the ca l l was
anonymous, I d id recognize the ca l ler's voice as lttner's mother when I listened to the segment. The ca l ler stated that her son had been discrimi nated aga i nst by being suspended from a Cathol ic col l ege based on his religi on when he was defendi ng the Cathol i c Chu rch's teachi ngs. I niti a lly, Msgr. Swetland seemed a l a rmed by this assertion. However, as the ca ll proceeded and add itiona l information was discl osed, Msgr. Swetland's message tem pered. As Msgr. Swelta nd's response developed, his message was to encou rage truth and joy i n hel pi ng peo pl e u ndersta nd and see the Chu rch's message. He stated that "there is a way to be respectf ul" when com m u ni cating Cathol ic teachi ngs,a nd to be evangel ica l is counter prod uctive to expressi ng a message ...it divides a nd tu rns peo ple away i nstea d of bri ngi ng peopl e together on a topic.

ANALYSIS

I m ust ma ke a determi nation rega rd i ng whether lttner's cond uct constituted ha rassment based on sexual orientation i n violation of Ca rroll Col l ege's Eq ua l Opportu nity policy. This pol icy prohi bits ha rassment, i ncl ud i ng t he creation of a hosti le environment, by students and others on the basis of severa l protected classes, i ncl uding sexua l orientation. The pol icy states:

1. Hosti le Envi ron ment Ha rassment

A hostil e environ ment exists when ha rassment based on sex, ra ce, creed, color, nati ona l origi n, religion, age, ma rita l status, gender identity, sexua l orientation, or physica l or menta l disa bi l ity:

• Is sufficient l y serious (i.e., severe, pervasive, or pe rsistent) and objectively offensive so as to alter the terms a nd conditi ons of employment; or

• When such cond uct has the pu rpose or effect of u n reasona bl y i nterferi ng wit h an i nd ivid ua l's empl oyment.

Ha rassment t hat creates a hosti l e environ ment violates this policy.

A hosti le environ ment ca n be created by a nyone i nvolved i n a col lege progra m or activity (e.g., administ rators, faculty mem bers, students, staff mem bers, and cam pus visitors). Mere offensiveness is not enough to create a hosti le environ ment. Although repeated incidents

increase the l i keli hood that ha rassment has created a hosti le environ ment, a serious incident, such as sexua l assa ul t, even if isol ated, can be suffici ent.

I n determi ni ng whether ha rassment has created a hosti l e environ ment, consideration wi l l be
ma de not only as to whether the cond uct was u nwel come to the person who feels ha rassed, but also whether a reasona ble person i n a simila r situation would have perceived the conduct as objectivel y offensive.

I n this situation, not only the messages on the posters, but also the persistence with which they were posted, the responses from Ittner when confronted abo ut the posters' messages, the responses of t he Carroll College community, and
how a reasonable person in a similar situation would have perceived the conduct are among the factors of determining whether a policy violation occurred.

CONCLUSION

Messages on the posters: By lttner's own admission, the messages on the posters were targeted toward a particular population for the purpose of drawing attention to and evangelizing about what he believes to be immoral and sinful actions based on sexual orientation.

Responses from Ittner when confronted about the posters' messages: Ittner becomes frustrated when asked about the content of the posters; he is steadfast in his attempt to convince others that his message is right and anyone who challenges him is wrong. He references violence as a parallel example to the actions of gay people. His tenacity and hostility about gay sex and gay marriage is alarming.

Responses of the Carroll College community about the posters' messages: Those who saw the posters, witnessed Ittner posting the posters, or confronted Ittner about the posters were offended by the posters and alarmed by the acerbic tone of their message. Others took offense to the reference to the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Some expressed fear as they interpreted the messages to be threatening, especially in light of the recent vehement discussion in the classroom.

How a reasonable person in a similar situation would perceive the conduct: It is unlikely that a reasonable person would perceive the posters as humorous, informative, or an attempt to engage in discussion. It is more likely than not that a reasonable person would construe his messages to mean that homosexuals were going to hell (at best) or he wanted them dead (at worst); that they are "disordered;" and that they are immoral if they enter into sex or a lawful marriage.

lttner's position that he was simply communicating Catholic teaching on homosexuality: Through the investigation process, not only did I interview witnesses, but I also learned about Catholic teachings on homosexuality. Without exception, the message from Catholic Bishops, Monsignors, and even Carroll's Chaplin, Fr. Marc Lenneman, the Catholic message is to always speak words of faith, hope and love. In a recent interview for the Rubin Report, Bishop Barron, Auxiliary Bishop of Archdiocese of LA, stated "if the only thing a gay person hears is that the Catholic Church thinks they are intrinsically disordered, we have a very serious problem on our hands." Catholic teaching, in its full context, is that all humans
should celebrate that each person is a beloved child of God, respect the dignity of each human, and seek truth through joy. And, to paraphrase Bishop Barron, to call on the blemishes of one group of people based on sexual orientation, is to call on blemishes of all people. The approach Ittner has taken through his posters is contradictory to the fuller context of Catholic teachings.

A preponderance of evidence exists to conclude that the posters were sufficiently serious and objectively offensive to constitute a violation of the Equal Opportunity policy. While it is impossible to know exactly how many people saw the posters, they were posted in prominent locations in Simperman Hall, and several students and faculty reported concerns about them. Ittner was also persistent in reposting posters that were taken down. While a college campus is an environment that supports the exchange of ideas, the nature of the messages Ittner was posting were disturbing and seriously offensive.

RECOMMENDATION

I recommend the following sanctions for lttner's Equal Opportunity policy violation:

1) Review Carroll College's Equal Opportunity policy and confirm in writing that you have done so no later than March 1,2017;

2) Watch Bishop Barron's Rubin Report interview, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYWBNMOCrlo.

3) Make an appointment to meet with Fr. Marc, Carroll College Chaplin, to discuss Catholic teachings and its messages about homosexuality, homosexual acts, and how to effectively engage in discussion about Catholic beliefs.

4) Submit a paper to the Equal Opportunity Officer, no later than March 15, 2017, about lessons learned from Bishop Barron's Rubin Report and the meeting with Fr. Marc and how they directly relate to the content of the posters

APPEAL RIGHTS

An appeal to the Equal Opportunity Grievance Committee must be filed within five (5) working days of the receipt of the Vice President's decision unless good cause can be shown for an extension ohime. The appeal must be filed with the Equal Opportunity Officer. The appeal must be in writing and must describe the appellant's desired outcome; as well as describe how the appellant believes: (1) there is new information sufficient to alter a decision, but only if the new information was not known to the appellant during the investigation and could not have been discovered by the appellant if sought with reasonable diligence; (2) there is reason to believe that a procedural error occurred during the grievance process; or (3) the sanctions imposed are not appropriate for the violation which the Respondent was found to have committed.

RETALIATION

The college prohibits retaliation against any individual because he or she has filed a grievance under this policy, or against anyone who has testified, assisted, or participated in any manner in an investigation or a report of alleged harassment or discrimination. Information regarding reporting retaliation can be found in the Equal Opportunity Grievance Procedure.

STATEMENTS RECEIVED LATER BY SKYLAR

#1

Incident Report January 30, 2017

Persons Involved: Skylar Ittner, Student

Nina Lococo, Vice President for Enrollment

Catherine Day, Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs Emily Weideman, Assistant Director of Community Living Grant, Securitas Employee

On January 30,2017 Nina Lococo and Iwent to Simperman Hall at 4:40 pm to speak with Skylar Ittner about reports we had received indicating that he has been posting derogatory, homophobic posters in Simperman since Thursday, January 26th. The intent of the conversation was to deliver an official letter informing him that he is in violation of Carroll policy and asking him to cease his activity. We expected Skylar to be in his regularly scheduled class in room 106; however, he was seated on a bench in the foyer of 2°• floor Simperman.

We approached Skylar, greeted him and asked if we could speak with him. He continued to work on his computer and asked us what we needed to talk to him about. At that time he pulled out his phone and indicated he was going to record our conversation. I responded that I realized he was recording me but I was not comfortable with him doing so. Itold him it was my understanding that he was posting fliers without prior approval. He began to argue with me stating it was his right to do so on public bulletin board. Iasked if he would like to step into an empty classroom to have this discussion in private and he refused. I again told him that he was in violation of the policy and not allowed to post his fliers without approval and that Ihad a letter Iwanted to give to him. At first he refused to take the letter, Iinsisted and he finally grabbed it from my hand, glanced at it, crinkled it up and shoved it in his back pack. He then tried to engage me in an argument about Catholic teaching on homosexuality and that these fliers only reiterate the teaching of the church. Itold him Iwas not going to have that debate in the foyer of Simperman and that that he would be contacted by Renee McMahon to discuss a possible violation of the Equal Opportunity Policy because we had received several complaints about the offensive nature of his fliers. Iasked him once again to stop posting the fliers and Nina and I started to walk away toward the bulletin board. During this whole exchange Skylar was extremely rude and belligerent.

As we moved towards the bulletin board, we noticed that two of these fliers were posted there. Nina went down the stairs to remove them. Skylar got up and followed us and started to video what we were doing. Itold him he did not have our permission to do so and to stop. He did not comply. He started to grab at Nina and try to pull the fliers from her hands saying that they were his private property and he was going to file charges. Iasked him to stop and Nina and I started to proceed down the stairs. He quickly followed us and very aggressively blocked Nina's way and attempted to reach around her back and grab the fliers. Iagain told him to stop and asked Nina to relinquish the posters because Iwas afraid of an escalating physical altercation between the three of us. Skylar continued to grab at Nina as she tried to walk away with the fliers. I called Annette Walstad to have security sent over to the building.

Nina and Iwalked through the first floor of Simperman to see if there were any more fliers and

Skylar followed us videoing us and loudly insisting that we had confiscated his private property, were in violation of the law and to give them back. We did not find any more fliers and went back up stairs to the lobby.

Skyler followed us and then aggressively approached Nina and me saying 'this is your last chance, give them back or else'. Istepped between Nina and Skyler and asked if he was threatening us. He said
'those are your words, not mine". Several students were walking by and some faculty witnessed this exchange from their offices. Skylar went back to the bench where he left his computer and backpack and Emily Weideman, the Assistant Director of Community living arrived with Grant, the Securitas officer.

Emily told Skylar he was in violation of Carroll policy and that we had a right to confiscate the fliers after he posted them on the bulletin board. She asked him to leave and Skylar continued to argue with her. During that exchange he admitted that he intentionally posted the fliers on the bulletin board and was waiting for someone or an 'administrator' to come and try to take them down. Emily asked again for him to leave or she would call the police to escort him off campus. Skylar refused and she called the police who were dispatched to campus. Skylar declared that he was going to file charges for theft or personal property and he left just as the police arrived.

#2

Iam filing a formal grievance against Skylar Ittner based upon the incident which occurred Monday afternoon, January 30, 2017. My grievance is based upon Article V of the Carroll Code of Student Conduct subsections: 2, 3, 5, 8, and 10. Information regarding the incident is provided below.

Monday, January 30,2017

At approximately 4:45pm, Cathy Day and Iwent to Simperman Hall to meet Skylar Ittner after his class. When we entered the building, Skylar was sitting on one of the benches in the foyer.

Cathy and Iapproached Skylar. Cathy shared the we wanted to meet with him regarding the posting of fliers and that she had a letter for him. He did not want to speak with us and initially would not take the letter.

He engaged very quickly by stating that he would be recording our conversation and at that time he noticed that Cathy had handed me her gloves and phone. Istated that Iwas not recording our conversation. Some conversation ensued between Cathy and Skylar with Cathy sharing how he did not have the appropriate permission to post and that he was upsetting members of the community. He attempted to argue Church teachings and Cathy indicate that we would not be having that discussion. Cathy gave him the letter and he shoved it in his backpack.

Ithen noticed that there were two new fliers that had been posted on the bulletin board on the stair landing. I removed the posters during which time he made it very clear that he had purposely done so. He was waiting to see who would remove the fliers. He threatened verbally at first, threatened to
call the police and physically came after me to try to get the flyers from me. He verbally warned me on multiple occasions that it was his private property and that Ineeded to give them back. Icalmly said "no" and backed away and he attempted to grab the flyers from me. Cathy Day stepped in. Skylar was physically aggressive and stated as one of his verbal warnings "I'm giving you one more chance or
else". He indicated that he would file a report with the police department because Iwould not return his private property. He referenced the annotation which he had included on his fliers referencing Montana law regarding the taking/destruction of private property.

Iwalked the remainder of the floor to see if there were any other fliers posted and he continued to follow me- there weren't any additional fliers that Ifound on that floor.

Skylar said he would be calling the police and filing a report because Ihad taken his private property and had no right to do so.

Emily Wiedeman and then, Grant from Securitas, arrived. Several faculty members were in their offices, Jenn Glowienka came out of her office. Emily Wiedeman attempted to reason with Skylar asking him to leave but he was very belligerent and refused to leave campus. At some point, Emily contacted the Helena police department because Skylar would not leave.

Skylar became impatient and said he had things to do and didn't have time to wait around for the police. The police did arrive but by that time Skylar had left Simperman Hall. Emily followed Skylar and has additional information as to what happened from that point on.

Hi Skylar,

I’m not sure what has happened this time, nor whether I’m legally allowed to discuss anything with you (I’m assuming not), but I will most certainly pray for you and the school.

Sincerely,
Hall

RECOMMENDATION

I recommend the following sanctions for lttner's Equal Opportunity policy violation:

1) Review Carroll College's Equal Opportunity policy and confirm in writing that you have done so no later than March 1,2017;

So all he had to do is admit he was out of line in order for this whole thing to disappear? Skylar is retarded.

So all he had to do is admit he was out of line in order for this whole thing to disappear? Skylar is exceptional.
Those who want to set themselves up as martyrs often are. Especially in this day and age.
Being subject to a religious/ethnic purge? That's martyrdom and discrimination.
Getting shit because you're putting up posters over the wishes and the rules of your private college? That's not martyrdom. That's you not following the rules and wanting to pretend you're the only true Scotsman.

how he got banned from Walmart:
tl;dr he fooled around with a card reader got banned, the store probably thought he was trying to do some credit card scam

Late but, former Walmart employee here. They probably were just mad he hit the button combo that sends the card reader into a reset cycle. The ones Walmart uses are fucking garbage, and if put into the reboot cycle can take several minutes to get back to a usable state, and that's assuming it doesn't shit itself completely and need you to call the horrible, mentally deficient outscourced tech support guys with the nigh incomprehensible accents to try to fix it from the server end.

Edit: Or they saw a guy fiddling with the card reader and assumed he was putting a sniffer in the magnetic strip to steal credit card info, although this is becoming less and less common with the new chip cards.

Also the LP guys are basically high school bullies who never grew up and can smell locker shove fodder a mile away, which I mean just look at Skyler.

@Tempest could we add "Skylar the Troll Master" to the list of aliases in the title, please? The connection is made through the title of youtube user "skylarmt" and he then uses this alias on other sites to do bad, awkward commenting (Disqus) and to promote his youtube channel (Google+).

He does actually upload some videos. Old computer boots, general geek lore, and a cat clip compilation set to Katy Perry.

Now now. We have more than our share of deranged autists. They just generally sperg out in other directions than old Skylar here.

See here's the thing that the media and most non Catholics somehow fail to realize about Catholicism. For all it's pompous ritual and structure. It is essentially the McDonalds of Christian faiths. You get the same exact bland service at each and every location, every time you go. They've stripped out any of the passion or spices. It's basically go through the motions and try not to offend anybody. It really isn't a good breeding ground for the crusading Anti-Homersexual types. (Besides if you drive off all the gay men, what would we do for Priests?) About the only faith more bland an inoffensive than the Catholics are the Episcopalians. Who would seem to have taken the Catholic approach, but also stripped out the few remaining interesting bits like the pomp and ceremony, and dialed the dullness up to 11.

The Catholic Autists normally go anti abortion or go full political ideological. Splitting evenly between SJW and Right Wing Radio Alex Jones style loonies. Often in the same person. But rabid drooling anti gays types quoting scripture? Yeah we don't get a lot of them.

Ah!
