my question is why theyre so high effort... and im not talking in the sense of they took a long time... who is this making fun of? valley girls? scene girls? both? neither.

It's parodying two popular Japanese fashion trends among young women. Gyaru and I forget the name of the other one, like a pastel lolita. (edit: it's EGL - "elegant and gothic" aka gothic lolita)

And they're high effort because they were created at the hands of a deranged pooner, the same genre of girl who draws the anime girl sharty admins
