Hatemonger is actually quite tame compared to most women's romance literature love interests, I'm not shocked that da whimminz would gravitate towards him.

He's mysterious, brash, loyal, dominant, very racist, hates woman, and has a weird penis. Make him a billionaire or a werewolf and he'd be winning awards at bookshows for the next 5 years.

I can simplify it down further. Hatemonger's body shape is rounded and cute with a cartoony face. He is also very funny. If a woman thinks you're cute and hilarious, 9 times out of 10 that woman is not letting you go.

Supposedly (as per one of the Q&As) the episode after the christmas special is supposed to be a Bryce episode that will help make him more likable. Tall order, but we'll see.

The Christmas episode was the first one I watched and made me immediately hate Bruce. So tall order indeed.

I thought the whole point of bryces character was that he was unlikable, EP3 is literally about how him being a fucking loser cost the squad green lazers. im expecting byrce to die to soon [probably due to heresy]

Oh man, making Bryce more likable is a very tall order. Even if they give him reasoning why he's like this thats still not going to win me over.

I don't think they'll give him a reason to why he's an asshole, they said they wanted Bryce to be the "Eric Cartman" of Space King.
But they're not achieving it tho, everyone seems to hate Bryce while Cartman is South Park's most loved and iconic character.
My guess is that Episode 5 will pair Bryce with Hatemonger, which was the original idea before they realized how well Hatemonger works with Chestnut, and try to show the funny/creative/chaotic side of Bryce.
If that's true it also means we'll see Chestnut teaming up with Captain, I think that would be interesting since we've already seen the Hatemonger/Chestnut team up twice and they haven't established Captain's character as well as they've done with Chestnut or Hatemonger.
