Nice followup to yesterday's release rebuking redditors expecting some deep irony and deconstruction.
Redditors don't have the ability to self reflect so won't understand its making fun of them.
In fact, I've seen redditors take this scene and extend the shooting part to "make it funnier" like some unfunny family guy gag. "Jokes" that go on uncomfortably long aren't funny, they're irritating and dry the joke out.

Glad there's a thread here to read about the show, I brushed through the reddit and its all adults taking it way too seriously and wanting deep lore and subversive twists. I like the show because it reminds me of the light-hearted fun one would have in their male childhood, and with their ads it seems like they're trying to hit on that 80s/90s nostalgia to cement that.

I'm glad the show writer's said they aren't doing those subversive "twists" like making hate mongerer a woman or actually gay, redditors suggesting it is like they completely missed the "Tired of your media being filled with the lamest shit possible?" line. Theres a market for media that allows you to play as a devout soldier, people just like it despite it supposedly being "problematic" and "fascist" People liked shouting "FOR SUPER EARTH" in helldivers, people like shouting "FOR THE GOD EMPEROR" and people like shouting "SPACE KING".

A new "Making of" -video released just a few hours ago.

The way they talk about episode five (Title: War World) near the end has me pretty hyped. It's apparently twice the normal budget of a regular Space King episode and packed with action scenes. The script was finished three months ago and the pre-production is on schedule, but the animatic of the episode hasn't been finished yet. Skip to 25:57 - 27:50 if you want to have a listen yourself.
Hearing that it was between potentially not having an episode for a few more months, or putting out a Christmas episode to give them more time on the big episode 5 makes me appreciate that Tom and Don are the heads of this project.

The turn around on the production is still crazy and if this was the quality of their "let's just get something out there for people to watch" episode, that bodes well for the future of the show.

A couple months back the sub was overrun with typical reddit fags, furries, degenerates and brigaders trying to do the usual thing they do to take over subs. But the mods actually give a damn now and purge all that bullshit real quick. So much trash is deleted every day. If you see reddit faggotry in the sub please report it and it will be removed. The rules have been fine tuned over the last couple months to keep that shit out.

Supplanting existing culture and teaching subversive morals ("diversity is our strength") is just another data point. It's foolish to dismiss 1000 paper cuts because each is only a paper cuts.
I'm fairly certain that this 21st century concept wasn't on the mind of a 20th century catalog writer who was told to make "an animal themed Christmas book" by his boss. What morals was he subverting, exactly?

Funny you think I have a reddit account, speaking of being full of the lamest shit possible.
are you two niggers still on about that?
This is why we need a castle built of hate, where no one can question our statistics or facts and anyone who does will be killed for heresy. Space King gave a promise.

Thank you @des Pudels Kern for the sponsored post as I wouldn't have found this show otherwise. I have zero knowledge in Warhammer but I've been enjoying the show immensely!
Me too, I'm a Sponsored Post Tourist and I thought the show was a hoot despite knowing nothing about 40K besides that opening copypasta, "In the grimdark 400th century... thousands of psychics sacrificed daily... Emperor of Mankind something something... NO GIRLS ALLOWED".

I have to say, after reading some posts here I'm astonished that the "holy globules" are apparently a reference to something in the game.

I thought he said he was circumcised in one of the Q&As. I remember thinking that was really weird, that's why I remember, not because I think about Tom's dick or anything gay like that.
It would be very on-brand for the Beholders to use their fallen or ancient brethren as weapons, so maybe Hatemace is like a weaponized Servo-Skull?
I like this one, I hope it's this one.

I'm glad the people behind this show understand how fucking gay redditors are, and part of me is glad that redditors are too stupid to see it.

I don't think "what if we're the bad guys" is making fun of reddit. All the jokes about subversion and subtext are making fun of subversion and subtext, because this show is a normal funny action cartoon rather than the "muh deep LOOOOORE" stuff.

I was moreso referring to Tom and Don calling redditors freaks and degenerates specifically by name on multiple occasions, but sure.
