Goon is honestly really meh, while they were early innovators with stuff like their genetics, cloning, telescience, and space relics - their codebase always had a lot of compromises. For example very early on they got rid of atmos. Not the system but the department. The pipes and scrubbers on the station are decorative and don't actually connect to anything. They also have a really fucking weird relationship with sec. Head of Security is a WHITELIST role for some reason and the armoy's walls are made of indestructible walls for some reason. I find their map design a bit too overdone (but still better than modern tg and similar servers)

I kinda wonder how hard it'd be to rework a TEG-type setup for vg or tg code where the exact ratios, pressures, temperatures, etc, for a hellburn or high-efficiency/productive burn can vary round-by-round, giving something for the enginerds and atmosians to fuck with for a bit. Then again, tg atmosians already make weirdogases for fun anyway.

Hell burns are dependent on the atmospheric simulation itself to function, the TEG has nothing to do with it. Hellburns work on goonstation due to a quirk of how air being exposed to space works under their atmos system, Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Neither Linda, TG's atmos system, nor Zone Atmospheric System (ZAS), /vg/'s atmos, could support such a mechanic.

I add that I was always partial to the /vg/station insectoids, they never seemed to get attached to any faggotry. Definitely better than liggers.

Now that I think about it more, the only time I played nonhuman was when I was an engineer or doctor so I could claim that me being a retard was just being accurate to the race. Good times
