Spanish is possibly the #1 go to language learning for English speakers not just because it's easy but because a lot of people speak the language. I've been learning the language since the start of this year and I can't wait to go to Mexico to practice speaking it.
 
Just don't go to Mexico, I wouldn't go there if I was paid to. Hit up NY and walk around the Queens/Bronx area instead for the official jumped by latinos experience.

Remember proper greetings in every language such as please and thank you. They go a long way.

Chales, el pinche @Null nunca va a reconocer a los mexinacos porque desprecia el español el muy puñal. Igual te quiero cabron, eres el gringo mas chingon.
One of the reasons to love spanish is that is a very gendered language, so no stupid pronoun or xe/xir/xer type bullshit. Only the most idiotic and autistic individuals try to adapt that kind of crap into the language but most normal people don't give a shit about it.
