the options are move a little bit or get killed by the enemy team or the tentas. i frontline and missiles are usually really easy to avoid unless you're out of ink and surrounded

I’ll grant you that it’s mostly just me being salty due to having an iffy day in ranked, though I will stand by slowhing machine being too much.
Also ran into an absolutely cracked e-liter earlier. Can’t play snipers for shit even though my positioning is generally good and splatlings seem to agree with me. Respect to that freak; though I did flank him and we won the match by a point in overtime.

i have 0 respect for e-liter mains because the chance of them not washing their gunts and/or remembering what daylight looks like is a good 90%
i feel like crab tank needs a little bit of a nerf. and cohozuna. cohozuna is fucking ridiculous.

Remind me, how long did it take for new weapons/weapon variants to drop in the previous games? I already have almost every weapon and I’m disappointed that stuff like the N-ZAP ‘89 isn’t in the game yet. Also, it’s a crime that they haven’t made a charger based on the Super Scope.

We are getting new weapons and maps each new season. Which does unfortunately mean we are stuck with this tiny crop of weapons until the end of November. I feel your pain though the N-Zap '89 has been my jam since Splatoon 1 and I've had to wait months for it both in 2 and now 3.
I'm also hoping for some sweeping balance changes when the new season drops. Some weapons just feel too strong and brainless like the Bloblobber and some seem even more gutted than they were in 2 like the basic Brella. If I can't have my Hero Brella back at least don't make the Brella a pathetic sneeze.

not at all. apparently the only servers nintendo actually uses are the ones to actually matchmake but that doesn't change the fact that it randomly likes to disconnect you during a match and punish you for it, even if your internet is great.

Also, did everyone get really bad at mercing other players in the few weeks I took off to play Bayonetta 3? I’ve gotten more splats than every other player combined in all of the matches I’ve played today; and don’t tell me to ptfo, I won all but one of them.

I went with Grass even though Water is my favorite type because I refuse to be on Reddit Man's team. Besides some of the grass starters like Chikorita and Turtwig are underappreciated.
I also haven't played in a few weeks and it almost seems like the netcode somehow got worse with the last update. I was constantly getting hit by attacks through the terrain, attacks that on my screen I clearly dodged, by people who were looking the other direction, tenta missiles either hitting before they visibly do or hitting like 10 feet away from where their circle was and having my death splat be not where the game said I died. Plus the oh so fun bombs that were invisible until they exploded that was also a constant issue for me in 2. I didn't have issues this consistently with the last Splatfest but its like 90% of matches today.

I picked team grass because grass types are cool. This is my first splatfest and it's pretty fun but I'm excited to go back go the normal games so I can try some new weapons instead of being stuck with the ones I know I can win with.
I should ask though, does the autistic slapfighting happen every splatfest or did something about this one specifically bring out the worst in everybody? Like some people need to chill out, it's not the end of the world if your team doesn't win.

The autistic slapfighting before and during a Splatfest and the crying foul that Nintendo rigged it afterwards is a time honored Splatfest tradition. It is slightly different in 3 because of how Splatfests were changed, with 3 teams instead of 2 and Tricolor Battles being added and such, but 2 also changed how Splatfests were won. Also there might be slightly more vitriol against Shiver since she's won both Splatfests so far. But yes autists will always take baby game way too seriously. Ignore the worst of it and get to Ruler for those delicious slugs.
