On the one hand, terrible that this was done. On the other hand, a perfect example of why troon logic doesn't work, and the fact that it does normalize this sort of self-mutilation.
Logical conclusion of "if you don't do it I'll kms/find someone else to do it," patient as customer, postmodernism, and the unpopularity of insane asylums tbh. In other words, totally in line with troon madness

.
"I absolutely adore this attitude ✨" (how no man speaks, ever)
this is how women speak to each other in mom-only spaces. I hope this woman figures out her destiny before getting sterilized.

canadian healthcare is currently on a euthanasia kick, and many people speculate that it is because killing people saves a lot of money for the system. using up surgical resources for cosmetic purposes would be more acceptable to me if they weren't also trying to kill everyone they can.

And on the other other hand...there's still the regular number of fingers?
Just cut to the knuckle. As body modding goes it's pretty tame but I still don't think it would be a solution. The article mentions other interventions like CBT were tried but I wonder how long and how intense it was.

Still, fingers is better than that lady that got a psychiatrist to help blind herself. I find it hard to accept that a medical intervention should ever accept deliberate loss of function as an acceptable outcome

To a point it makes sense. Is it better to continue years and years of therapy or to lose a bit of finger? There's still enough finger left to where it begs the question of if any harm in quality of life has been made. Is that better than being made sane but destroyed mentally by seroquel? Maybe. Also maybe the guy turns around and says that wasn't enough once he gets over the high and now wants the whole finger, or the whole hand, or an arm. Suddenly, yeah, blasting this guys brain cells to a crisp probably was the best option.

I have sympathy with people of any type of dysphoria, because fundamentally it's your brain being completely fucked up through no fault of your own and giving this desperate desire to damage it in the thought that it will make it better. But it is delusion. And you don't help these people by buying into and encouraging it.

Loss of function absolutely is an acceptable outcome in medicine, provided all other options are cleared as reasonably effective and it would help the patient overall, eg: amputating a limb to save the body from necrosis. People have fundamental misgivings, and rightly so, when this is applied to the realm of psychological disorders because there is no real problem. The physical body is perfectly fine, and only being damaged as a result of a broken mind. The goal should be to fix the mind.

On the topic of the lady who blinded herself, I believe that case saw virtually no therapy or diagnostics occur - she went to an insane psychologist who diagnosed her immediately with dysphoria then said we need to take your eyes as the first stage of treatment. Does this remind you of anything?

@thefreshmaker yeah that's a good nuance, I'm thinking specifically of psychological illnesses when I think about loss of function. It seems at best to be putting a band-aid on a symptom, and should only be used as a last resort. Jewel Shuping was the lady who blinded herself, just looked it up, and it was indeed done by a "sympathetic" psychologist who was willing to entertain the delusion and helped her pour drain cleaner into her eyes. Even things like plastic surgery where theoretically no function is lost are still probably allowed too often, especially for newer techniques where the long term prognosis is unknown.

The thing that makes trans surgeries even more absurd than the amputation or blindness examples is that in those cases at least, the desired outcome was attainable, even if maybe the clients didn't have a full grasp of the consequences to their lifestyle. Versus any of the trans surgeries which promise something that is fundamentally impossible, and is only practically possible in the sense of passing well enough to not be noticed for a tiny minority of sufferers. It's an entire industry mutilating people on the promise of a fairy tale.

The mothers who do this to their children have a special spot in hell.
I agree, and the fathers should also burn for letting this happen.
Yeah I need to know more. She’s talking with authority about the vagaries of rotpocket cheese odors like a pro, but her poor son is just 12 so no pocket installed yet.
I do wonder if this is an older tranny LARPing as the mom he would have wanted as a kid.

Amid all the doom, gloom, and horror postings, time for a good news story from Ovarit

It’s made me like my actual vagina so much more 😆
I’ve always been a bit self-conscious of my vagina because I’m overweight and my labia minora are rather small, and my clitoris really likes to hide. I’ve never liked looking at it in the mirror. But today I did for the first time in a while, and after spending weeks viewing the Frankenstein abominations that are called neovaginas, I was like “you know, I have a beautiful vagina”. And even if I didn’t…it would still be a real vagina. Suck it, TIMs.” 😆

A rare thing trannies didn't ruin. Ya hate ya genitalia? Have a look at this thread and rejoice!

Reading the first words
"One good thing" immediately made me read out "about looking at all these pseudo vag pics"
To that one bob marley tune and it brightened my day more than usual posts on this thread

Horray for stumpdick!

Stumpdick Saga starts here

Good for her. Shame she had to lose body parts but at leas she's smiling.

Slightly off topic but I came across this song today I haven't listened to in a really long time and I think it needs to be official song of this thread.

Dear Mr. and or Mrs. sender
We're pleased to inform you that your application's been accepted
Starting from the time you get this letter
Your life will be one never-ending "hope you're feeling better"

You get your choice of an aesthetic
Ah we need to chop your clock off tick tock, tick tock, tick tock, tick tock
It might not be what you expected
There is no money back once you've been ripped off, ripped off, ripped off
Today's a very special day
The boys'll murder for it but what will the neighbors say?
It leaves you feeling pretty hollow it might be nice to look at
Don't forget you're stuck with it tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow
You're big enough to stop pretending
You'll start to really show it in a week or so
So don't go saying it's just come to your attention
You'll get more than you're asking for without the right protection
Today's a very special day
And how you'd love to have a little thing with which to play
But love won't get you very far, today be still your beating heart
You'll have to keep on feeding it tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow
Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow
Boys will be boys, will be boys, will be boys, will be boys
Will be boys, will be girls with no warning
Girls will be girls, will be guys, will be boys that don't cry over toys
That they use to beat girls they despise by the morning
They always said that sex would change you
Change you, change you, change you
No second thoughts the knife is nearing
You'll never hear the little pitter patter pitter patter
Of this little feat of engineering
Of course I love you and of course it's what's inside that matters
But I think the whole charade is ending
It seems to me to be the only way to keep from getting
Caught up in a long life of regretting
The doctors say that once you get a taste for it should keep on cutting

But while you happen to be here
Why don't you whisper all those sweet forevers in my ear?
Stiff upper lip in all this sorrow, hurry up and stick it in
You never know when it will end tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow
Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow
Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow
They always said that sex would change you
Change you, change you, change you

Bonus points: Troons hate this song.

Is it really self-mutilation if the doctors have to take care of everything? I mean, all the tranny had to do was showing up to the appointments.

What are they pilling here? The back of his head?
The butchers made an incision on the top of his head towards the front, roughly where the troon puts his headband in the comparison photos, and flipped the scalp forward to expose the forehead and brow bones, and proceed to "file down" the brow ridges.

CBT? They use Cock and Ball Torture to help with this too in Canada? 😬
