I swear to God the douching thing for PI is a myth I was told (by Toby Meitzer and corroborated by a Marcy Bowers patient) to douche a few times during early recovery and then to stop. That the micro biome would manage itself from there out and that over douching could cause a dependency issue. I haven't douched after the third month and it's been 8 years now, never had an issue with infection/smell/ discharge nor have the other inversion patients I known who don't douche. As they say, you are mostly kinda blind to your own smell. Also most people do not usually comment on your body odor, unless it is really really really bad and they have to work next to you for hours a day. Its a touchy subject most avoid.
