Never in my 30 fucking years of nursing I’ve seen a wound like this ffs. Absolutely mental what these mental folk do, and that’s just the surgeons.

I've seen groins like this but during treatment for Fournier gangrene,

Yeah I've seen wounds as bad as this - only one the result of an operation though. It was a wide local excision with a free flap for a head and neck melanoma. The flap failed and the donor site got infected. Very sad.

The others I've seen that resemble this atrocity were fourniers gangrene cases, and maybe a bad case of necrotising fasciitis.

I find it hard to believe that in USA 2024 a surgeon wrote for enough outpatient post-op opiates to make this situation bearable. Too many opiates prescribed is gonna get your practice in trouble way faster than running the genital blender with a blindfold

I sit there and think "With this amount of opiates and that wound - how is he going to the toilet?"

You wouldn't want to strain your bowels with this happening down below and even with stool softeners/laxatives it's not going to be pretty.
It is barbaric what they did to this kid.

Spoiler: Update 2 on Wound Dehiscence (Surgeon: Dr.Kathy Rumer) CW:Graphic Images

The images above are of the results of the Vaginoplasty done by Dr. Kathy Rumer on March, 27th

The first 3 images are of days 5-7 after surgery. I had asked the nurse at Dr. Rumer's office if the black tissue was necrosis. She assured me it was not and that it was normal. As of today I do not know if what she told us was true.

Image 4 was taken at the end of day 12 and was my second day home. This was not the first sign of dehiscence as I noticed a much smaller wound during the morning dilation session. We informed Dr. Rumer of the dehiscence and she instructed us to use Neosporin on the wound. At the time, we were unaware of what had happened, and she offered no explanation. When the wound increased in size we immediately called Dr. Rumer. Again she said to put neosporin on and around the area and reassured us that this was normal.

Image 5 (day 14) is of the opposite side opening up. This time we were told by Dr. Rumer to place promogran along side the walls of the wound.

Image 6 (day 15) is the day we realized some of the internal stitches along the vaginal wall had let go. This was the same day as my original post and the day we stopped contacting Dr. Rumer's office.

Image 7 (day 16) was the day we were seen by Dr. Grimstad, an OBGYN at Boston Children's Hospital. (NOT AFFILIATED WITH DR. RUMER AND NOT THE SURGEON WHO OPERATED ON ME)

Image 8 (day 19) the wounds are healing very well thanks to Dr. Grimstad and her team (Again not the surgeon who operated on me)

In case you're wondering why I deleted my previous post:

I realized my last post was titled incorrectly, and was unclear about some things. I decided that it would be easier to just make one big post and delete the previous post to make it abundantly clear what happened to me.

First I want to clarify that Dr. Kathy Rumer was the surgeon for this vaginoplasty. I am no longer in contact with Dr. Rumer due to her (Dr. Rumer) unprofessionalism and inappropriate handling of my care

Currently I am in the very kind, considerate, and professional hands of Dr. Frances Grimstad and her team. They (Dr. Grimstad's team) took the time to examine my wounds (From the vaginoplasty done by Dr. Rumer) and explain exactly what had happened, and taught me how to clean and dress the wounds (from the vaginoplasty done by Dr. Rumer in Philadelphia).

I have a few more things I want to adress. 1. As to my current (limited) knowledge this is a known complication in Penile Inversion Vaginoplasties. There may have other factors at play in this specific case, but as of now there is no known evidence of intentional or unintentional errors during the procedure.

1. You (adressing anyone who yelled at me to go to the emergency room) were obviously concerned about my well being and I am appreciative of that. HOWEVER, my situation required a medical professional with at least some knowledge of gender affirming care, which the emergency room would not be able to provide as I live in the middle of fucking nowhere.

Tl:dr- Dr. Rumer operated on me and it sucked. Dr. Grimstad (not affiliated with Dr. Rumer and not the surgeon who operated on me) examined me and explained what had happened. (Dr. Grimstad has not operated on me at all)

Also sorry for the bad image quality on some of the photos. I suck at taking pictures.

Truly, this one of the worst surgery images I have ever seen, GRS or otherwise. This is some Unit 731 shit in the year of our Lord 2024. The even more insane thing is the comments validating about his neovagina will heal up just fine. That thing is never going to be fine. He's going to be in for a lifetime of pain, infection, and difficulty urinating after the bonus side am holes fill with scar tissue. I have no idea how we don't prosecute these surgeons as criminals for sterilizing and mutilating people without informed consent.

It’s been 3 long years since I had gender affirming surgery . You can pretty much guess the surgeon . 3 years ago about 2 days after I arrived home I noticed this white thing inside my vaginal canal . Of course I called my surgeon multiple times . And she told me it was normal . I started to panic when I couldn’t use the bathroom . I literally couldn’t pee. Called their emergency line many times . They told me to drink water . So here I am drinking water . And still can’t pee . It like this thing whatever it is is now hindering me from peeing . My body starts to spasm . Which was such a horrible experience . Urine started come through the bottom holes of my labia . But slowly . Not enough to release my bladder .(Remember this part because I can’t forget it ) called the surgeon she told me it was fine it’s not urine it just fluid . Still couldn’t pee . So she told me to hold off untill the next day and come see her . I threatened to go to the emergency room because at this point my body was just shutting down . I’m not sure where the thought came from . But I stuck my two fingers inside my vagina and push up on whatever this thing was . And urine finally started releasing itself . So I layed in the bed. Put a bed pan down got my dilator inserted it and just peed . Gosh I remember how relieved I was to to finally release my bladder . Later that night . The white thing burst . Nothing but puss and blood came out of it .Yeah it sounds gross but this is my testimony . Called the doctor again . Because now this tissue or white stuff was just hanging out of me . . I was told it was normal just leave it . Saw the surgeon the next day traveled 3 hours just for her to cut it and send me home .

While this was going on I notice . I started getting major sloughing Down by my perineum. It was almost like gangrene was eating away at the skin and tissue . The tissue inside my canal also turned white . Called about this almost weekly . And still nothing was done . I can’t tell you how many times I had been to the emergency room because of infections . How many scans I had . How many uti’s Bleeding discharge it was crazy . It took my primary to prescribe my Santyl I believe it’s called to help the area of my perineum. It worked but the way it healed has left me in almost a yearly state of emergency . .

Those earlier days were filled with multiple courses of antibiotics many trips to the emergency room . My surgeon abandoned Me long ago . And always put everything off. I was depressed . The pictures are from 3 years ago gradually over the years until today .

3 years later Im left with a sinus track that I thought was gone . But recently after a year flared up again . A vagina I can’t have sex with because it become narrow .I can organism which is good . By playing with my clitoris . Before my canal became narrow I could also organism from playing with my dilators .
