This American Life did a great show on disability insurance in the US. Physically demanding jobs in the US are leaving, and the people who depended on them don't have the education to move to something else, and so if they can't work at what's left due to age, infirmity, pre-existing injuries, etc., in certain areas they're sunk without some sort of handout. I lived in a county where logging and mining used to be huge industries, and now that those both dropped off significantly, that county has the highest rates of both disability and unemployment in the state. At the same time, it's a way for states to move people off of their welfare rolls by putting them under a federal program, making the states look like they've made progress on that goal. Also, people on disability aren't counted in unemployment calculations since that only counts people who are actively looking for a job.

This guy, meanwhile, doesn't really have any of those excuses and he's just in it for the fetish. Sure, going on disability means he'll probably be scraping at the poverty line for the rest of his life, but it's the principle of the thing, ya know?

Fetish doesn't have to be sexual. It can just be "a strong and unusual need or desire for something".

I remember one of the shows he was on. He was actually really good at making huge baby furniture for his giant ass. Can't be an elite lolcow if you don't live off the gubment though.

I'm going to go off topic to answer this question.
His name is Pamperchu and he justified it by saying that microwaving it kills the germs. Needless to say his luck eventually run out and I think he got cancer from it because his immune system was overworked from it.

If he was better at networking he might be able to make a living as a very specialised carpenter.

I've seen this guy on a couple TV shows before, probably all the same footage recut and narrated differently. One had him looking for a new nanny, and I'm not sure if it was the blond woman feeding him, but he found one doing it for hire, sort of like a dominatrix. He liked it, but was bummed that she was charging, because he was looking for someone who would do it out of love, not as a job.

I think he could absolutely make a very good living making adult baby and other fetish furniture. He would also meet a lot more people into the same thing, so he might even find a woman willing to be his nanny that was as well.

Edit: I also call bullshit on him playing with those Legos; any baby his supposed age would be using Duplo, not the smaller Lego bricks meant for older kids.
