Aiming for release on various platforms, including consoles and PC,
What other platforms are there other than PC and Console? What an odd thing to say.

Sony should have made these a 1st party studio but it looks like another IP has slipped through their hands and will be on Switch 2.

It makes sense the next game will be on a newer engine but UE5 really is a shitshow for optimization. From my experience it also crashes every couple of hours unless I disable DLSS. No matter the game.

I could care less if the writing in the sequel is better, I want the combat expanded to Devil May Cry levels of complexity with at least a second main weapon. The original game's devil trigger is also too weak without a cheat item.
Is Denuvo still removed from Stellar Blade or no?
It still has it according to the steam page. Regardless, it runs extremely well on my rig without upscaling.

It's good the studio is rewarding its staff for their efforts. If the dev room in the game is anything to go by, they were pretty burnt out by the time it released. I recently got a PS5 pro and a 4k monitor and Stellar Blade looks gorgeous with HDR.

You're kind of making me curious. I'm a PC gamer myself, but I never tried an HDR monitor before.
It all depends on the system and monitor. My monitor has HDR10, which apparently isn't even the fanciest kind you can get nowadays. I have a Switch 2 as well but the system's HDR is kind of fake and doesn't work unless you have an HGiG display (fancy pants HDR). You have to see it for yourself, but to sum it up it makes colors a lot more vibrant. I still haven't upgraded my PC setup to 4k HDR yet because my graphics card is too lacking.

Got something off topic, but related to the culture war side of Stellar Blade. This is supposedly old news but I only just heard about it.

Code Violet, a Dino Crisis-like game that is console exclusive because the devs don't want people sexualizing the main character, while also selling itself on Dino Crisis nostalgia and T&A.

For those asking us about a PC version of Code Violet… the reason we are not bringing it to PC is we do not want anyone modding vulgar versions of the main character as well as other characters in the game.

We hold our voice actresses and actors with high regard, as well as our artistic vision for the game and story and reject any form of destroying that with sexual mods.

Making a joke out of our art and possibly tarnishing the reputation of our voice actresses and actors is not worth the extra money we can make.
Then the game had a bunch of skimpy outfits as a pre-order/digital deluxe version.

The game got mid reviews and supposedly isn't doing to well.

It blasts a massive hole in the idea that Stellar Blade sold well only because of the skimpy outfits.

I want a BTS on this game's development because I can guarantee not enough tard wrangling went on

To anyone who doesn't agree with whatever point you're trying to make, this quote looks like insecurity. I see no difference between it and the various people over the years back during the "are games art" debates.

I don't see why. It's fairly obvious.

"Stellar Blade is a shit game that only sold because of T&A!"
A shit game that sells itself on T&A bombs.

Lots of things line up. They are both genre games, both PS5 exclusive. I think they might be on the same engine, but I'm not 100% sure on that. In a way, Code Violet is the game people accused Stellar Blade of being, and it's not going well.

Speaking of which, this review makes the same point about 6 and a half minutes in. (Timestamped)

Watched some gameplay footage of this. Looks like a shitty asset flip using UE5 and of course it's more boring OTS shooting, the lazy dev's go to. Sadly it looks like a better DC spiritual successor than Exo Primal (wtf were you thinking, capcom?). Just goes to show if your game doesn't have a brand name then it had better at least have a decent amount of polish. The feels like the PS5's Black Tiger.

Taking a stance to protect your actors from mods is fucking stupid and the complete opposite of what Stellar Blade's lead did. He wholeheartedly opposed the banning of adult mods for his game. I think back to when Ellen Paige attempted to sue Sony for her nudes leaking via Beyond Two Souls and how that went nowhere. If an A-list actor can't do shit then I doubt the nobodies you hired for Code Violet will do anything.

Code Violet (for me at least) is one of those so bad it's good, games. It really is what I imagine those tards constantly seething about Stellar Blade think Stellar Blade is. All that being said. Code Violet has some charm to it, its total shit, but its not as bad as some of the reviews are saying it is. Gman freaked out about a puzzle saying there was no clue on how to solve it, when the note explaining the answer to the puzzle is a single room away from the room the puzzle is in, other reviews have mentioned things about boss fights that aren't even in the game and people keep saying the Shotgun is comically weak despite it killing most enemies in 1 to 2 hits. That last one is especially wierd since its one of the few combat related weapon trophies in the game, so everybody that has played Code Violet knows the reviews are lying.

The game is shit and I don't wanna be the guy defending it, but I did actually play the damn thing so it's really jarring see so many people lace their reviews with lies for seemingly no reason.

While T&A isn't going to sell a game if the game itself is shit, I guarantee you that doing the opposite - stuffing your game with fat, hairy lesbians with vitiligo - will lose you costumers, be it because they can smell the stench of wokeness wafting off the product, or simply because the woke aesthetics makes them recoil in disgust on instinct.

A game doesn't even need to be risqué or titillating in nature, it just needs to be aesthetically pleasing to look at.

"NOOOOOOOO you don't understand, I NEEEEEEEEEED the game to tell me the answer and what to do, how else am I going to play it!?!?!?"

"What? EXPLORING!? Bitch, ain't nobody got time for that!!!"
