Some timestamps, some quotes, some summary, some commentary.
2:26:35 - Franssen intro, dupreesucking (is that that still going on?)
2:27:56 - "word of support..."
2:30:10 - wiggers
2:35:45 - referring to bringing Jake Lloyd on - "what better chance to clear the record?" (obvious trap btw)
2:37:32 - "AF has mission clarity... "
2:37:54 - "I don't see how it's in people's interest to have bad blood with you" (Franssen 101 here)
2:38:16 - "...You have to be able to separate [the benefits of AF] from y'know, any personal stuff, and that's why you maintain the professional, y'know, gentleman's accord..."
2:42:15 - "communism/liberalism is like intellectualized resentment..."
2:42:33 - "the wonderful thing about free speech..." (Franssen catches himself, redirects to Vox Day, talks about diffusing resentment and low time preferences regarding conflict)
- Nick comes out of this segment obviously resentful & projects resentment onto Jaden, Franssen tries to defuse
3:03:57 - Franssen starts talking again, "you want to open yourself to friendship... we as men are told... you can never be sincere, you can never show who you really are... it's a bunch of bullshit we were taught by feminists..."
- Nick has mentioned several times he never lets himself be sincere because he sees enemies everywhere and he's glad he never really opened up to Jaden. Franssen ties this into self knowledge, Franssen barricades against gossip by saying his mental map of Nick only updates via interactions with Nick. This is interesting because of the accusations about Nick operating "femininely"/through backchannels frequently are effectively defended against with a veneer of philosophical clarity.
3:14:07 - "...people that are charming are not actually always positive..." negative people don't have a lot of praise to go around, Nick gave me a compliment once and it was AWESOME
3:18:17 - "Jake get your fat fuckin' butt on here - you think you're better than us? come talk to us!" (still a trap)
3:39:34 - "let's just take Jaden...", "Jaden are you listening? listen, we're gonna find you dude. I'm just kidding!" (press X to doubt)
3:43:45 - Nick, "If I need to be debunked, now's the time. Make the big moment - 'cause otherwise? I will NEVER let this go. You know how I am!" (walk into my trap, goy)
3:46:23 - "I feel like Jaden just needs a noogie... Jaden just needs someone to beat him up a little bit and push him around." (trying to channel Nick's aggression productively)
3:48:45 - "that's my appeal to Jaden... be like Spongebob and Patrick" (hello fellow kids)
3:50:58 - "people get too caught up in the internet stuff - just remember the boyish fun..." (Franssen is obviously perceptive enough to understand Nick is on the warpath at this point)
If you can stomach it, you can definitely hear Nick doubling down on his same opinion after Franssen says anything. Over and over again when Franssen adds nuance, Nick doubles down on the lack of nuance, outside of the throwaway lines.
Continuing on...
3:55:58 - "Nick I don't think it's an argument thing, I think it's an emotional thing and I think it has to do with bonding, or a lack of bonding. It's more personal than any intellectual thing."
3:56:38 - "I'm going to say something and maybe this isn't going to be popular... where is the room for someone to feel like they earned some of [their achievements] for themselves?"
3:58:20 - "if it was all just you, then this is just a conversation between you and yourself... it's a demand" Nick, "it IS a demand!" (stream cuts out)
This is probably the most obvious, "annoyed" point in the conversation. Outside of the, "are you defending this??" line below.
4:01:28 - "let me ask you this, was "the give" always there? or did it leave?" (Franssen begins pattern recognition mode, might be a learning opportunity for Nick if he can calm down, Nick starts deflecting.)
4:03:16 - "so you're not picking people like this, going forward?" Nick, "what do you mean?" (picking people for the movement vs. picking people to homo groom?)
4:04:02 - "was giving Jaden the treasury position giving him more than he can chew?" (Nick, do you think you have any part in this?)
It's funny how once Franssen has someone pinned down how little they can do to genuinely to resist(if they see it as a confrontation vs. an exploration), so Nick breaks out of the questioning. They're playing different games. Nick is pissed, Franssen wants to build and is trying to get the audience into, "teachable moment" mode vs whatever Nick is up to.
4:05:16 - Nick, "are you defending this??"
4:07:01 - "I totally agree with that..." (Franssen catches himself again, commits to being in Nick's good graces, de-escalates.)
4:08:33 - "This is clarifying stuff, I mean, not for you obviously..." (LOL. Anyway, Franssen says he doesn't see defections as an issue going forward basically because Nick has learned from the experience. Nick pushes back on this, "defections by nature are unpredictable". Nick pushes back against self-knowledge)
4:10:17 - Franssen hasn't been surprised by any of the defections. Sorry Nick you need to get on Franssen's self knowledge, philosophical and maturity levels(but he doesn't have any special knowledge). Franssen backpedals again. See Franssen's statement at 2:38:16.
4:11:30 - "I'm really happy to see Dalton moving to Florida..." (has this actually happened?)
4:12:00 - "When people fuck you over and move out of your life, it just clears out room for better people to come in." (Jaden: SAVED, Nick: DOOMED)
4:12:75 - Nick, "what's been a real reassurance is seeing people... come in" Beardson, "BEARDSON!"
Nick has been brought into a more gracious space at this point.
4:16:22 - After bringing Nick into a more gratitude/forgiving mindset, Franssen brings up his own failings, earning some headpats/apology from Nick, Beardson follows along.
4:20:49 - "The issues/math of male friendship, people love it because they're starved of it..."
4:34:30 - Franssen jumps out, he loves the team and appreciates being heard out. Nick LOVES HIM KING, he's THE MAN. Everyone is in the afterglow of Franssen's insights and probably need towels.
Franssen is AF adjacent to try and build up young men through onboarding them to his brand of philosophy, poaching off the catboy assembly line. He believes his brand is the best(and constantly evolving), but behaves, "tactically', to preserve recruitment opportunities. He comes off like a grifter when he's forced to play nice and backs off of what he believes in, but that's the game he chose. Throwing a wide net then dialing it back if he gets detected is easier than being outright aggressive, and as you see at 2:37:54/2:38:16, it's always worth keeping up appearances, regardless of what's actually going on.
These clips drive home that he's a non-gay version of the Molymeme. Having one foot in gay-catboy land and the other in bisexual-canadian-molyneux world isn't sustainable, however. He might be counting on getting anyone actually worth having behind his paywall, where he has the room to stick to his guns - but who'd pay for that?
