I think it's, as they say in DGG, "kino" when Destiny casts stones at others for being cultists towards thought-leaders, as if DGG isn't the largest cult in internet politics.
How is it not cultish for DGG footsoldiers to defend all of Destiny's sexual misdeeds that have been revealed over the past month/s? Melina needing therapy, the Pxie tape, he can do whatever horrible detestable thing and his footsoldiers will defend him. There is not enough hypocrisy anywhere else in the world to compare to the amount found in DGG. Someone needs to make a YT slop video-doc about all of the ways Destiny and his community betrays values found on the left, such as feminism and the clinical (and correct) view of consent i.e. revenge porn laws/deep fake morality. We know Destiny doesn't care about deep fake's ruining women's lives and he obviously doesn't care about revenge porn.
Kyla especially, in her defense of her gnome-leader. She knows what Destiny does is manipulation and abuse tactics, she betrays the philosophy of her profession. She says he's got "trauma", and that's the justification for his otherwise autistic level of lack of empathy and detachment from other humans on an emotional level. He has already proven he can not maintain healthy and emotional relationships, and views his acquaintances as contractual and business oriented. Even his friendship with Jessiah, Hutch, Econoboi, and his other *actually* politically educated "friends" are in pursuit of broadening his political reach. Don't get me started about the 'Melina needed a green card' excuse for his marriage to her, after it all ended of course.
No, Kyla, he's an emotionally detached sociopathic cult leader and you're serving the kool-aid every time you stream. Whether that's because he has CPTSD and depersonalization or not is irrelevant. All of the potential orbiters and footsoldiers reading this, you choose to hitch your wagon to that kind of guy, every day, every time you type in DGGchat or make a post in his reddit. You are part of the cult and you are encouraging him to keep doing what he's doing.
