I just think Destiny has his tendrils around Ethan, for better or worse. They have similar goals between the Hasan hatred and Israel defense, which leaves Ethan susceptible to DGG influence via astroturfing and other disingenuous tactics; Explains why they are in lockstep with eachother on things like Dan Clancy resignation campaign or the Hasan Brothel sex-trafficking story -- these are theories built on shaky foundation yet Ethan covered them with the same fervor of people like Dan Saltman and Destiny who created/forced those memes in the first place
Whenever Ethan mentions Destiny in some way, he has been adding a negative qualifier of some kind but it feels rather performative.
There's a reason why Destiny is going so hard to sweep for Ethan, Destiny recognizes that he (Ethan) is currently in a place where he can be easily manipulated, and extremely likely that they message in some way, even if it's minimal interactions and they are fine with each other.
He's isolated, feels paranoid/attacked by all his old friends, doesn't feel like he belongs politically anywhere, so Destiny knows that even with all of his baggage, if he's the only one defending him against the mob, Ethan will 100% still want to be friends with him, whether he's (Destiny) an e-rapist or not.
Destiny is genuinely a predator. I think it's hard to tell sometimes between when a person is genuinely looking out for you, or it's trying to take advantage of you, imo, Destiny's concern for how Ethan is treated is entirely fake Ethan is just his newest (non-sexual) victim to manipulate.
*Edit:

Just saw this.
Destiny 100% sees Ethan as a huge untapped market. Ethan's audience already dislikes Hasan and are primed to dismiss anything he says about other people.
Dan is more desperate, and upfront, with wanting to recruit Ethan into their friend group, but both Dan and Destiny are hoping for it, and acting on it.
Again. Destiny deleted the evidence, and came up with that bullshit excuse that he has them saved, because he's more than likely deleting all the most incriminating stuff, and saving everything else, that way he's hoping that he muddies the waters enough that it's just a "he said, she said" situation.
Destiny knows he will never be able to completely get rid of this "baggage", but he's completely confident that he'll be able to downplay, gaslight, and manipulate the narrative into his actions not being that bad.
That's why he comes up with all those nonsensical narratives, like the hacker, like the "implied consent", like the "culture of sexting", Pxie supposedly sending him her bf's videos without consent even tho she did had consent, etc.
On their own, it's genuinely hilarious how absurd all his excuses are, however, all together, they achieve the purpose on downplaying the situation and spreading the blame, even tho Destiny is solely responsible for it.
Also, that's why people like WillyMac (inbred, 60 IQ retards who think they are actually smart) are so important, as Kyla, Dan, WillyMac, and all of the Footsoldiers spread those bullshit narratives for him.
Can you imagine what would happen if Destiny manages to actually become public friends with Ethan? All of Ethan's audience would start to parrot Destiny's nonsensical, bullshit, lies.
Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth
