Ok this is probably gonna piss some people off, but I will give Destiny this - I can at least see part of his point, namely the hypocritical outrage you see in events like this. I have no doubt that had Biden been assassinated (successfully or attempted), there would be huge numbers of conservatives celebrating and cheering and generally happy to see "bad satanic libtard senile pedo man" get taken out or hurt simply because his politics are different from theirs. A lot of the people throwing shit at him for his statement would fall into that camp. So naturally, his response is going to be "fuck you I owe you nothing" when they try to morally condemn him.
Having said that, it is rather striking how lacking in self-awareness he is when he cries about the state of US politics - he cries about how toxic the Republicans are and the MAGA people... while he himself feels "conflicted" on whether or not it's ok for a Republican presidential candidate to be assassinated by some unhinged liberal terrorist. It's just baffling how he can be so wilfully oblivious to the toxic extremism on his side of the political aisle that has contributed no less to the current political paradigm.
The reality is both sides of US politics have come to utterly detest each other, and their mutual hatred has pushed them both into extremism, and to political violence. Events like this are what have made Republicans more extreme today than they were 20 years ago. Destiny seems to think conservative thought in America takes place in a vacuum with zero outside influences, that they're just naturally bad people or something. Whereas he will make excuses for a shitlib nutjob murdering people.
To put it bluntly, Destiny strikes me as very book smart - he can read a lot and understand and remember the content to an impressive degree - but he is VERY dumb in terms of logical thought. He really struggles at taking all this information he receives and then putting the pieces together to understand the more abstract picture.
