I dont really have much to say about the politics of all this because I pretty much don't like anyone on any side of this issue and Destiny doesn't actually care about politics in any tangible meaningful sense anyway, it's just something for him to debate people about/make money from. Over the past two days I've seen a lot of Trump supporters in twitter saying Tiny's career is over, but Destiny will be fine, unless people manage to succesfully mass report his Youtube (I doubt it would succeed).
In the last 48 hours he has only lost 3k subs in youtube. In twitter he lost 1,192 followers yesterday, and he gained back 1,248 today.
All this drama is doing is gaining him more notoriety. The only people he's bleeding are the people who were clueless to the kind of person he is, how he goes about things, and his fans are mostly excited about the recent developments.

He has certainly burned the bridge with the DailyWire people, that he seemed so hard to be trying to build over the past 7 months and other "mainstream" figures, but he probably will manage to branch out to other places now. He's supposedly going to appear in Piers Morgan tomorrow again.

Destiny is genuinely like a cockroach, you can't kill his career and he always changes his content (or his politics and positions) to survive.
The only thing this has done is that the odds that he gets shot in some sort of live event have definitely increased.

An actual tangible action is not what these people can do.

Over in the UK, we had a similar thing during the COVID lockdown. I believe it was every Wednesday we had people doing "Clap for the NHS" where they would just go outside the front of their house and clap.

I've got family who works in that field. My sister in particular was an emergency nurse during the height of COVID and she was basically hazmatted for work every day and had to deal with a lotta shit. So I know the shit they deal with and I'm very sympathetic to it.

I thought that entire thing was just fucking stupid though. It's the prime example of something performative. I take the opinion that if I want to express gratitude like that in a notable way, I want it to be backed up with either a positive action that assists someone, or putting my hand into my wallet and putting some money behind something.

Japan "and every single person there" were not ready to go to war, their emperor and a lot of their military (I say a lot because there were folks ready to abandon the war effort) simply refused surrender basically no matter what. Even in the Emperors official declaration speech of their surrender, he doesn't outright say "we surrender" and he purposely used an archaic more traditional form of Japanese so the public couldn't understand his message clearly.

The justification for the nukes was that they refused a formal surrender so our hand was forced. It was either drop atomic bombs, or invade their mainland via Operation Downfall. Downfall would have been significantly more destructive, so we went the nuke route and deployed featherheads to warn the Japanese public of the nukes ahead of time in an attempt to mitigate as much civilian casualty as possible. We had no choice, debate over.
