Lauren was going through a divorce and had a dead career at the time. And she probably couldn't share much about what was going on with other people because it made all her previous tradwife shit sound bad. I don't know if she was always a drunk, but she was definitely drinking a lot on stream at the time, probably to deal with the stress and loneliness of her divorce. Particularly when she wound up living in that trailer park. And then in waltzes Destiny, who knows what to say and do to get what he wants.
