I think it's only possible to 'separate the art from the artist' because an artist's technical expertise in a craft or the compelling nature of their creative output is largely detached from their personal failings. Destiny is not an artist; he's a pundit. His currency is his trustworthiness. When he postures like he's "the cleanest motherfucker in the entire scene" a few months after spreading around pornography of one of his friends without her permission, it should trigger his audience to think whether or not he's just bullshitting about his beliefs and his integrity.

At least that's how it would play out in an ideal world. In the real world, Destiny's fans have their egos wrapped up in their liking of him. For them to admit that Destiny doesn't deserve to be trusted, they'd have to admit to themselves they fell for his bullshit.
