I strongly suspected it was vetted by his legal team first. He has to make a public statement to do damage control as his entire career is based on streaming and he has to work twice as hard just to replace his lost viewership.

The community response is predictable, they've been coached by destiny over years to always wait for both sides of the story, and now he's given his they're going to do victory laps to defend what he did was OK which is deranged and gross. nope he;s sticking with his strategy of only addressing one complaint/attack at a time until he considers that attack fully dealt with, i.e. he's gathered enough allies to shape the narrative or placed enough pressure that the accusing party folds.
The only thing that might get destiny to address chaeiry's allegations are if she posts her police report or lawsuit publicly.
