destiny engages in bad faith a lot, but its pretty rare for him to just straight up straw man unless the debate is regarding a personal matter (he strawmans people who speak on his personal life way more than people he politically disagrees with). If he's ever backed in to a corner he'll
1)pivot to a subject he knows more about
2)demand a greater standard of evidence for the opposing side than himself
3)attack a small claim that his interlocutor makes rather than a big claim (red herring)
4)autistically focus on words that someone used incorrectly or an exact statistic or order of events that someone got wrong
5)bait someone into making a claim they haven't thought through
It's pretty difficult to strawman someone when they can correct you in the middle of a debate. Destiny is comfortable strawmanning JSTLK because Destiny will never debate him and his embed is banned in DGG chat. Strawmanning only works if you have total narrative control, and in a debate with another person destiny doesn't have enough control over the narrative for people to buy into it without question (especially when the audience is outside of DGG)
