Indeed, even my most-offended critics admit my work is “a better example of cartooning than a lot of professional political cartoonists” and is “genuinely funny”.

Cartooning (and art broadly) provides a peaceful way to critique our world and have challenging discussions. Its traditions predate the United States and was practiced by its founding fathers.

My beliefs are pro-speech, anti-war, anti-authoritarian, and pro-equality for our institutions.

Of course, there are always those who claim provocative artists should be stopped. To them I say, “keep failing”.

Transgressive art is popular everywhere, from the pages of Charlie Hebdo to broadcasts of Family Guy. My work is similar. Like them, I have also earned millions despite the impotent attempts of censors. In fact, my critics have even shut down their twitter accounts after realizing their efforts had the opposite of their intended effect. (ha ha)

I encourage you to enjoy the comic, but if not, that’s okay too

Of course I’m biased because I like edgy offensive humor, why else would I be here after all? But still if your feeling are hurt by such a comic that’s ultimately a you problem.

There was an old newspaper comic called “B.C,” written by a hardcore Christian named Johnny Hart. In the early 2000s he pissed off Muslims and Jews with a couple strips. He was sincere he felt you were going to hell unless you loved Jesus. Did it really hurt anyone, no. Neither does a StoneToss comic, at worst it legitimizes harmful beliefs but that’s not a crime. As a wise woman once said “Do Not Hate. Hate is a bust.”

Ironically that was one of the first Redpanel comics I ever saw - and I thought it was a dig at Arnold Schwarzenegger for his German ancestry (his father did serve in the Axis as any German of that era would have).
