Styx has diversified most aspects of his production, including donations and payment. Check out his books and website, there's a ton of content there for special interest and as donation fodder. Tarl did a livestream with a guy named Lionel and during that stream Styx claimed to have sold over 20,000 books. (and this was a couple years ago)

When the issue with Patreon and Sargon occurred, Styx outright told his audience to consider other options. He did of course add the caveat that he didn't necessarily want his subscribers to flee. I can only guess, but I suspect that a large part of Styx's audience are the types that left Patreon altogether and switched to other donation sources.

Peterson and Styx are eccentric rather than lolcows. It's ok being eccentric and I think they're aware of this and don't care, which is also fine. To be a lolcow, you need to lack any self-awareness, imo.

All top comments are anti-vax sperging, down to like 20 comments deep, despite Styx carefully explaining how mandatory vaccinations being required for public school doesn't violate the NAP (:story:). The comments section is fucking amazing- I'm not going to do a dozen screengrabs, but that shit is full of: "I been subbed for years, but... OMG you said something I don't agree with!!! Unsubbed!", and "I didn't vaccinate my kids because CIA-mind-control-big-pharma-autism, but everyone knows the real problem is that the illegal immigrants, coz they don't get their kids vaccinated!!". Also different kinds of lolbertarian, AlexJones-ist anti-vaxtards sperging out that Styx called them "far left" in the description.

I've said before that I don't really think Styx is a legit cow, but his audience sure as shit is.

I wouldn't say allowing unvaccinated children into public schools violates the NAP as it's not an act of aggression committed by the individual.

Except it doesn't matter how Styx tries and defends it, because the anti-vax crowd is small but incredibly loud, and they should just be ignored. Any exceptions aren't worth talking about in generalities and are a case by case thing, such as all exceptions. Arguing with them is like arguing with Reddit, you won't get anywhere and you'll just piss yourself off by trying.

Agreed. That was why I started watching his channel in the first place and while I'm glad he's found success with his political videos they got repetitive about two years ago and I stopped watching. Every once in a while I watch one of his new videos and remember why I stopped. If he went back to occult stuff only I'd happily resubscribe.

His song covers are surprisingly good. I remember enjoying the cover he put out of Evil Woman denouncing Clinton back during 2016 the election. I was sad when it seemed to completely disappear from the internet but it looks like it's been re-uploaded.
