Please help this bitch out too: Where can I get a good lychee black tea?
The area I live in that has several Asian markets, but they stopped selling lychee black tea, green tea with roasted rice, and mugwort tea. I don't know why, but miss them all.

At the local sushi place they serve green tea to you in a cool heated kettle with the strainer full of leaves n shit in it, and they give you one of those plain cylinder shaped ceramic cups with no handle on it, and believe me it's pretty fkn sugoi, but there is some kind of seeds they put in with the tea leaves that gives it a real nutty/herby flavor, what is that weird seeds/nut lookin things they put in it? I'll ask next time I go there but maybe one of you guys knows

Ooh I'm always a slut for assorted packs. Thanks man, I'll try and remember to report back.

Perhaps it isn't even a seed, but rice? Genmaichai has a slightly nutty flavor due to the rice in it.

I'm fine. a few days ago I helped make spinach lasagna roll ups and I'm currently drinking lavender herbal tea as it was recommended to me by a doctor yesterday.
(Seriously, this forum is sweet and this is why I stick around)
Too late, Zenitsu-San!

No homo but I'd still bring you baked ziti and a hug anyway.

Ok, help a bitch out teafags: my local stores stopped selling darjeerling. Where can I get a good darjeerling?
Tazo’s Darjeeling is pretty good, Smith is also great obviously. There’s a brand called Vahdam that does hyper local, specific Indian categorized by area and flush that’s interesting if you want to go super autistic with it.

I have this tea that is some combination of an oolong blend and globe amaranth flower tea.

This is a tea where actually just making it is part of the pleasure, because the flowers energetically spring out from their globes in the tea while it's steeping. It's something like a violent pink when made on its own, but blending it with an oolong calms down the color a bit.

It pairs really well with Scottish shortbread too.

Went to a tea bar yesterday, and tried Sun Moon Lake tea, which I drank black with no sugar. Strong but with a surprising lack of bitterness and a very earthy taste. Delicious. I'm currently trying to find a supplier in Australia, which is proving a little difficult.

The whole bar smelled amazing.

So, what's the consensus on Butterfly Pea flower teas? I bought some a year or two ago for a former friend as a cool novelty, but never had the time to try it myself, and I was always a bit curious as to how it fairs tastewise. Is it worth trying?

I'm a bit of a faggot when it comes to tea - I like green tea with ginseng and honey, and i like earl grey, Irish breakfast and English breakfast with honey as well.

It could be roasted buckwheat or rice. The latter would be called genmaicha, I'm not sure if there's a term for green tea with buckwheat. Buckwheat tastes extremely nutty when used for tea (called sobacha btw).

It's probably been asked before by someone else in this thread, but I'm asking anyway: how does one go about adding milk to tea? Does it have to be warmed? Does it need to be frothed? I always feel like I'm doing something wrong when I put milk in my tea, like it's not supposed to go there unless I'm using milk as a base or something, idk.

I've always added cool milk to it, just to mellow out the heat, and for the creaminess. I don't think there's anything special you need to do to the milk.

I've never bothered warming the milk or anything like that. The one thing you do need to do though, is to add the milk after the tea is finished steeping. Adding the milk before or during stops the tea from steeping properly. Let the tea steep first, and give the water a minute or two to cool down so you won't scorch your milk.

My husband and I rarely drank much tea other than the Lipton Green Tea every now and again but last month I picked up a couple new different tea brands on a whim, and my husband and I became instantly addicted to this tea specifically. It’s just a common brand but somehow this tea truly lifts our spirits, we didn’t know a tea could have such a subtle but pleasant mind-altering(?) affect.

This Yogi Vanilla Spice is unlike any hot tea we’ve had, we drink 5 cups a day replacing coffee & soda. Are there any other “happy” teas out there like this one? 5928F21E-2944-4D39-800F-7472571541C7.jpeg A658D0D5-B618-4F73-8BB4-2B9CA4D335F6.jpeg
