I like Stash's Double Bergamot.tetley earl grey (good hot or iced)
I tried it once and highly disliked it. But that was many years ago, and I've been contemplating trying it again. What is the proper way to make it?Where my rooibos enjoyers at
I just brew it with normal boiling water, not picky about the temp. When the kettle whistles I add it. It's good with any fixings I find, vanilla rooibos is also better in my experienceI tried it once and highly disliked it. But that was many years ago, and I've been contemplating trying it again. Depends where you are in the world. In Oz the supermarkets stopped stocking my favourite Daintree tea a few years back, and since then I've been bouncing from one website to another because the only consistent stockist is the plantation store front, which for some bizarre reason is the most expensive. My country has a decent percentage of tea consoomers so there's usually a reasonable range of mainstream brands at the supermarket. There are a number of tea specialist stores around, not as many as coffee places, but they exist. And there are a few tea houses still in existence, but they are vastly outnumbered by coffee focused cafes, unfortunately.I wanted to try barley tea so I ordered some bags. The package said 50 bags, so I bought it.
Turns out it's 50 one litre bags. How's a nigga supposed to drink 50 litres of tea? It's delicious but looks like I'm going to be drinking barley tea with every meal for the next six months.
Where do you buy your teas? I buy regular-ass black tea from the supermarket (Twinning's and Stash), but I know there's better stuff out there. Not sure where or what to look for.
Besides the local tea shops in my area, Lupicia has like a billion different teas and all of them are excellent. Here’s their sales page.Where do you buy your teas?
If you have a tea strainer and some old, empty tea tins, you can pour the barley into the tins and just use it as you need it. It's a pain in the ass, but I haven't seen barley tea in anything less than "100 goddamned servings, fuck you" bags.I wanted to try barley tea so I ordered some bags. If you just wanted the maltiness, I think I heard black teas from Yunnan tend to be maltier. I don't know if that's necessarily the case, but I do like tea from that area.I got some Turkish tea from some kind of paki store once. It was pretty good stuff, it had a mild and malty flavor kind of like the Irish breakfast tea in walmart with just a touch of bitterness. The main thing that stood out about it was the extreme caffeine. I'd drink one cup and vibrate for the next 4 hours like I had a full cup of espresso. I hope I'll be able to find more the next time I get a chance.
Do you mean like Gong Fu style? With the tea tray and tea pet, or something else?Considering being an autist and fucking with Chinese preparations. Does anyone have a particular tea set they know of that seems well made?

This is kind of a necropost but whateveri am looking to widen my selection of teas i like and was wondering what some good recommendations would be? i currently enjoy plain black tea along with green tea (though i have noticed some green teas i have tried taste like they have something burnt in them) and as far as sweeter teas i like raspberry and hibiscus tea.
