Man if they actually fix TF2, I'd go back. I love that shit encrusted game.

But I doubt it.. valve does not give a shit.
You’re better off not going back. For, like, every good session you might have in a Skial server, there’ll be a million terrible sessions in Uncle Dane’s shithole servers or the Valve servers.

Proof? I wouldn't be surprised at all. The amount of grooming he must experience on a daily basis being a TF2 youtuber must be insane.
I can't really prove if he actually admitted to trooning out because I haven't checked him in a while. But early this year I joined a 50v50 experiment stream he made, he had a femboy png avatar as a joke because he lost a bet to his viewers.
shounic_crouch_open_mouth_shotgun.png
The stream was filled to the brim with faggotory thanks to his fans constantly teasing him about it, flooding the chat and leaving any meaningful convo out of the window.
"Noooo guys haha please stop this" "teehee I will never be a femboy stop it you guys!" Shounic repeats.

He said if the donations reached a certain limit he will "permanently" use the femboy avatar. They called this "femboy funds" which they have fulfilled and donated more than 750$, 75% of the money donated were from one guy. Someone pointed out that this was creepy behavior but got piled on by almost everyone in the chat.

I'm pretty sure the dude's just exploiting his fans parasocial obsession and reddit brains to gain money, but I wouldn't be surprised if the autistic coder with faggot fans trooned out.

Oh no man you misunderstand, it's all just a joke and this guy is perfectly normal. Just like Finnster who totally didn't troon out and start taking it in the ass and grooming kids just a couple years after this exact same scenario happened to him. :)

i think a jerma situation is happening more than anything, he's gonna surround himself with so many paypiggy faggoty trannies that if he wants to stream to anyone he HAS to accept the non-stop coomerish requests/jokes

also i looked at his stream archive, and this is the one that started this whole saga, all of his streams after that have had this "temporary" joke avatar with different shades of "not a femboy but people paid me a lot" statements.
another thing that doesn't help if i remember correctly, he had shown his chubby nerdy chink mug on a stream once, and with this new thing feels pretty gross to think about.

This was pretty fun to listen to.
  • Zesty joins at 1:10:22 (leaves at 2:27:07).
  • Zesty and Weezy aggressively argue over the boycott idea at 2:13:02, podcast host puts on comedic music in the background of it.
  • Richter Overtime joins at 3:05:35, starts yelling at Weezy & Shork at 3:10:42, and leaves at 3:20:43.

That's an ancient /tf2g/ picture. Who the fuck is this?

I think I was in a TF2 steam group earlier and all the forum posts were about how #FixTF2 will be a flop, and I'd go into the comments and it was just... pure autism. It was just shit-flinging between people who thought the movement would accomplish something and people who thought the movement would fail like the last one. I wanted to laugh, but it was just sad. These people are hopelessly addicted to this game like crack. Suffice to say I left immediately after reading all of that.

I had already sold all of my "high value" items a while back but I looked again last night and some items I've had for like 10 years were surprisingly in the 10 to 20 dollar range. So of course I sold them and will have a nice wallet whenever a game I want is on sale. If you still have an inventory with anything in it you should check and dump that shit.

It's their entire personality, they have nothing else other than TF2, it's unironically similar to how trannies act, it's why they feel so entitled and feel like Valve HAVE TO FIX TF2 no matter the cost. I have no clue how it's gotten to such a scale that they quite literally make up the majority of the player base, no other game has a fan base like this, the closest I can think of are people who autistically Paradox games like Hearts of Iron.

Nothing will happen beyond an empty platitude. But I still think that's a good outcome. It's been sobering watching Valve undergo such a dramatic fall from grace. At least now there's a huge public eye on it.

There had been a time where I would entertain the idea Valve's silence on this backlash held deeper meaning. For instance, the notion their hesitation in doing anything about this is from them working on a major port of TF2 to their newest engine or something huge like that. But they have grown so increasingly tone-deaf over the years, to the point they've basically shown what should have been blatantly obvious: Valve is a giant corporation. What do they have to gain over fixing a game which trickles in comparative pocket change? There's clearly nobody with any passion for the game on their team anymore.

Look at the release of Artifact to cash in on the momentary fixation in card games in gaming, them shoehorning a battle royale mode in CS:GO, and now trying to squeeze their way into the hero shooter craze when everyone is sick of them just like every other corporate entity chasing the same outdated market research claiming people don't already universally hate the genre. I understand every corporation chases money, but Valve at least tried doing so through innovation and passion rather than chasing trends. They will continue to do nothing. At the very least, I'll draw some vicarious enjoyment watching their newest hero shooter cash grab get the backlash I'd otherwise kill to see.

I always feel like the main force behind stunts like this are the people who got into the game or installed Steam long after things like the "A Call for Communication" group in late 2010-2011 which was a big Half-life fanbase movement demanding any word about Episode 3 after 4 years of silence. No response from Valve, not even an acknowledgement. And those were the years I officially lost all my faith in them and they made it very clear on what direction they were taking and even admitted traditional singleplayer games are no longer something that is a priority for them.
Valve is gauging community reactions to see if they should continue with the project or shut it down.
Yep, they do this lot. I remember when the 2011 Earthquakes happened in Japan. Valve made a link to donate money through Steam to the Red Cross and if you gave them $100 they would give you three unreleased Shogun 2 cross promotion hats. For pessimistic people like me, I saw through it and assumed it was to test how much people were willing to spend for microtransaction (otherwise why the extra incentive to donate). Lo and behold few months later we got our first $100 crate in the Uber Update followed by $100 wedding rings in 2012. Or even before this with that Octopus Hat event for Winter 2010. You had to buy $300 worth of games (of varying genres) to acquire. Games that for the most part nobody would play outside of doing something ingame and then uninstalling (no refunds back then).

And you know what my favorite part of this autistic shitfest of reviewbombing? Is that they think Valve won't be none the wiser on the dupe accounts making negative reviews. As if Valve doesn't have additional hard data available to them that the public doesn't see. They are well aware of the accounts who only played TF2 for the first time leaving negative reviews.

Then you have people like this. Little less than 1/7th of their total playtime was between the time of the review and now. What a committed protester that I'm sure convinces Valve this is a genuine concern. Though I find it funny that his account is only a little over two years old while he's saying "what has become of it" as if the bots weren't something that were around for years on end.

I think Valve is silent because they are professionals and not manchildren, they've moved on from their decades-old game, their passions have lied elsewhere for years. It's like when a band changes their sound dramatically as they grow up and some fans just can't let go that they don't play their first album on tour anymore. Assuming Valve employees are all ambitious and driven I think they'd rather work for EA or Blizzard than be tied down to TF2 to appease some fucking faggot YouTubers and degenerate furries, and I bet that the more people complain the more Valve comes to hate their prior work

Though I do wish they'd finally say fuck it and stop updates altogether, cosmetics included. Whatever pennies they make must be worth the bitching they get from the community
As someone who quit several years ago, I can't help but wonder if Valve would rip the band-aid off at all. From what I understand, a company admitting there's a problem in a way that isn't, "We're aware of the issue/monitoring the situation/working hard to fix it, etc" is bad form and will make investors drop it like a hot potato. That said, Valve coming clean and saying they'll move their skeleton crew away from TF2, shut down the community servers for good, and let the community itself maintain it would probably(?) restore a bit of goodwill with people that aren't wholesome chungus 100 Redditors and tranny furry degens. However, that would require a lot of effort on Valve's part not because it's particularly hard, but because of the implications it has on their brand image and business model. They're still coasting on the HL-Portal 2 days and don't want to be structured like a traditional company. Anything moving away from that is a step closer to confirmation that they're more of a middleman or publisher now (which they are). Valve basically wants to have their cake and eat it too, and all this outcry from people outside the TF2 community is less about the game and more about the company. Stevie Wonder could see how Valve has changed, and people want them to be more honest about it.

Since this hasn't been posted yet. Some guy on /vg/ went to Valve the other day, proceeded to make an ass out of himself and mistaking the nods and smiles as anything but awkwardness. Never do this though, it doesn't help. Valve might've found it novel in the distant past, but it's clear they find it irritating as fuck.View attachment 6077623

Looking at google maps, there are a lot of other businesses in that location. He was probably inconveniencing/getting stares from other people in the same area. Valve's old location was more isolated, but this is right next to a mall.
