  4. Securing our clearnet future
  5. Creating a Final Solution for the YouTube problem

I gotta be honest I'm kind of a tech retard and I don't understand how websites work other than some extremely vague basics. So there is very little I can actually add to a knowledgeable conversation about keeping the website up.

Is there anything that can be reasonably done to make DDOS attacks more expensive? Not even make them fail but just make them as resource heavy as possible.

I’m guessing money isn’t an issue for LFJ, from what I can tell there are plenty of willing volunteers for this dirty work. I think the key will be institutional change and making it so big tech organisations like Cloudflare can’t collaborate with criminals to moderate the Internet.

This is already what Josh is doing.

For low level flooding attacks, in addition to having upstream providers filter the DDoS, you can add more endpoints(servers) in different locations and different networks and force them to spread out the attack enough that it's ineffectual. Of course this is easier if you're AWS and not Josh and a couple hamsters.

For the high level(L7) attacks that's what KiwiFlare does, forces them to provide a proof of work before accessing the site, for normal users it's trivial, for a botnet it can waste a bunch of their resources. Also improving the back end for read only queries, adding caching and other similar items so they simply don't have any impact.

I think money is always a factor. Besides tranny's are NEVER frugal and future concerned, chances are LFJ lives a lifestyle higher than his means

Making his own personal war on the farms as expensive as possible will cause him more stress and and make giving him resources to continue a less desirable choice for the people around him.

Chances are he doesn't have a shitload of savings and an emergency fund. At some point if you make it more expensive for everyone involved they will have to choose between an impotent attack and fulfilling their own immediate desires and vices. And all a tranny is is a violent retard made of desire and vice.

Could an ISP be behind the current low level attack, or would that be obvious and traceroute-able?

Yes. The Internet is built on trust, so if an ISP says "This packet came from A.B.C.D" then others trust it(which is one reason these attacks work, much like spoofed spam calls). So a Tier 1 like Cogent with sufficient bandwidth could indeed source a massive DDoS attack using spoofed source addresses and claim "We're just transiting the traffic."

Probably retarded idea, but could you maybe split the Stinkditch part of the forum on the separate site? It would maybe allow the other parts of the forums to work?

I actually think some of this is the AGP chasing the dragon trap. You know how some of our cows keep thinking one more surgery, one more revision, one more experimental hormone treatment will finally make them a true and honest woman? I think some of them see this website with people laughing at them, and think "if only we could take down KiwiFarms, then nobody will laugh at me anymore and I'll finally be seen as a true and honest woman!". That wouldn't work, obviously, but things like this site or JK Rowling which turn out to be uncancellable seem to become the object of fixation - the harder it is to get rid of something, the more important getting rid of it becomes (until they burn themselves out like Keffals).

You see a sort of similar thing with someone like Vordrak who has nothing else going on in his life and the drive to crush us gave his life meaning, although Vordrak was always like that and seemingly has moved on to trying to crush random other people who post things he doesn't like.

The site will still have the mark on it; as long as it's called the Kiwi Farms it will be associated with the stinkditch and the people it covers.
Plus, even before the stinkditch was a thing the farms were still getting labeled with the transphobic hate site term. This is despite the fact that the KF is an equal laughing ground for all kinds of internet crazies, nobody is safe.
