this happened to me in firefox, entering gibberish worked and the invite code field is now removed from the page. Adding <input placeholder="(Enter gibberish if you cannot redeem this form)" would make it obvious, but making newfags come do some homework is also funny

i had to revert the change because it broke some other fucking bullshit. i'll get around to it.
 
Not a grievance - technical kudos instead. I like how this looks, with the box around the reaction I left. Thank you for your effort Null.

Mr. Null I don like the new thing you did where the posts have a darker square with a lighter square around them and the reaction stickers also have a darker square. I prefered when it was all dark. Could you please change it back? thanks

For now I do like it, as it creates a nice border where the reactions are separate, but I'd be fine with it going back to how it was before if others would prefer that.
 
Don't know where if this is the right place to talk about this but, is this a bug?

Whenever I try to change anything from the 'Account Details' page it says I'm required to fill in the invitation code that was implemented recently and it doesn't let me save the changes. Is it a bug or am I stupid and or maybe gay?
 
Private tags used to put a layer of pink behind the private tagged text, which made it easy to tell which text was between the tags. They don't do this anymore, at least on Firefox 145.0.1 and Windows 10.

I often use private tags to separate quotes from regular text under spoiler tags, because the quote function often bugs out and cuts off the text with no way to expand them in that scenario.

When I try to change the little line of text under my avatar it wants a referral code.

Those are more like suggestions, not grievances.

- The "Insert link" pop-up could be wider. It's only 30 characters, which forces you to scroll if you want to paste a copied link and remove something, such as all the tracking gibberish that Google adds.

- When I use the search box in the upper right corner, the suggestions that appear after typing a few characters push down everything below the text box. It would be nice to be able to press a key or click just above the box to hide the suggestions.

Perhaps automatic removal of certain known tracking fields when pasting in links might be a nice thing to have too.

XF.KeyboardShortcuts in core js finds "data-xf-key" attributes to configure shortcuts to click links and focus fields. Ctrl/alt/meta modifiers are available. Current shortcuts:
  • Numbers 1-6 are for the top menu row: Home, Forums, Chat, What's new, Members, Support
  • alt-1 to alt-6 are for the next row: New posts, Find threads, Watched threads, Watched forums, Search forums, Mark forums read
  • m , . open popups for: account, DMs, alerts. / is search
Numpad End is 1 which loads the homepage. I don't see any account settings for this and I don't care, just happened to see the attributes and checked it out. It could be useful for other stuff like prev/next page.
