Feedback Technical Grievances

Not really a grievance, but with the new chat overlay, having it appear and disappear on hover might be a good idea. Idk if I'm just not used to it but it throws me off.

Under the password field in the registration popup, this happens if you enter text then clear it.

Also, could you add a Preferences > Time Zone option that automatically uses the local timezone? This behavior already happens when not logged in.
 
I only have this issue on mobile, not the desktop site.

The time needed to hold down to react to a post instead of liking it is too long and I almost always accidentally like a post instead of pulling up the reaction menu. The menu will pop up and I'll think that means I can stop holding the button, but then it will like the post instead. I would personally rather it just always pull up the reaction menu instead of liking a post, as I rarely want to do that.

Sometimes it likes the post even if I hold it for a really long time. I feel like I'm going crazy, I can't tell why it sometimes automatically likes a post instead of leaving the menu open. But it's annoying.

Small bug with the new "Highlights Only" feature. On Desktop, the different sticker reacts don't pop up when you hover over the like button like they normally do. You can only click Like and nothing else.
 
There are some issues I have while using mobile the post up above made me think about. I haven't bothered reporting them here because I can mostly get around them. They make using the site unpleasant though.

It mostlt has to so with writing posts, and how the page reacts when you interact with the little buttons to do actions at the top of the text input box. Like if you go to embed media. I tap the button. Then it moves me down to the bottom of the text box. Then I have to scroll back up then tap the button again. Every time it moves me down to the bottom.

It makes it every hard to do something like save a draft. Because it moves me down, and closes the menu before I can actually tap the button. Others function a bit better, but its still an inconvenience.

Hopefully I described it well enough.

The other thing is highlighting text from a post to quote it. Sometimes it just completely spazzes out when you get to the last word of the post, and cycles through highlighting the whole pages, nothing, and the actual text I intended to highlight. This one is a bit of a crapshoot on whether or not it happens.
 
One thing that's bugged me and yes I've mobilefagged my entire time here; is how like the post above describes, when I press lets say a color I want to pick it immediately fucking reverts. What I have to do is literally change the font size every time I want to play with colors or bring them into my posts. Another oddity is I have to HOLD DOWN the color I pick for it to even be selected, otherwise FUCK YOU. I'll even show it here. If I try to type normally while I use it, it just reverts to the original fucking color if I'm trying to type because it keeps going to where the color selection is at.

My point still stands, some of the UI just works really weird here, and mobilefags may be a lower priority but we exist.

yes you made it very fast and distracting again after I asked you to stop and I am tired of asking you to stop being deliberately annoying. i could not read the iran thread. you ruined the thread for me so I fixed it.
 
Having a bit of a tartarus issue on mobile: iphone with newest ios update on safari. If the browser had already been opened to a kiwifarms tab tartarus goes into a super fast loop of errors before finally giving back a 403 error. Sometimes i can fix this by refreshing, but most times it just won't load through to site unless i wait a bit and open a new tab.

The 403 is a reattempt issue.

Out of curiosity, did you update the browser just before the issue happened

Yea. Its been happening since going to the new build last week. I'm guessing they did something in the new update that's affecting how it pulls pages.
 
Can <hr> be given a color to make it visible in the high-contrast style?
Currently it is the same gray on all styles.

Also, about the "Support" button:
I literally never saw it until recently.

On high-contrast I see the Support link when zoomed in, but the default style has it collapsed- I am too retarded about HTML to understand why this is different- you wouldn't think the presence of the background image would effect that, but it is different. Brave browser, both on 110% zoom.

If you are phone-fagging you will also probably never see the Support button, as I very rarely open the side left menu, and then you'd still have to scroll down in the side left menu, which I also usually have no reason to do.

I don't think there's a delay or anything on when it posted as I got a reaction before it reached posted now. I'm also not a time traveler. Just thought it was a curious bug as it wasn't even a rounded number.

Obviously it's not a big deal just figured I'd write it down for awareness' sake.

This is a long known bug and just happens from time to time. I think nool has said he has no intention of ever fixing it.
