Feedback Technical Grievances

 • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
This Norton thing says Kiwi Farms is "caution":

Report for kiwifarms.net | Norton Safe Web
KF got a black mark on a bunch of different antivirus lists way back when Null decided to try letting people opt in to run a bitcoin mining script to help him defray costs. Not particularly surprising since the AV had no way of knowing that you specifically opted in.

I don't know if it's by design or not but I can no longer view profiles of banned users, so I can no longer post the :julay: emoticon in their comments section. Is this by design to save disk space or some sort of oversite?

Having problems posting new threads. Went to post one a few minutes ago and a previous thread showed up. Had to delete everything in the "boxes" and put in the new thread, which I ended up cancelling since a similar thread was running. Thanks for any help provided.

Just posted another thread - worked just fine. Thanks!

PM/DM's are no longer auto deleting after, what was it? 30 days? of no new posts.

Bug or deliberate?

Solved, with the help of @Kosher Salt:
Your response led to some fiddling, and I figured out what had been the issue. I have a habit of opening every link in a new tab either by middle-clicking or right-clicking and picking ‘Open link in new tab’.

Turns out, timestamps do not work if I choose to open an embedded video that way. They do work if I left-click, though. I appreciate you checking it for me so quickly.

It seems that when users use media insert to embed YouTube videos, the timestamps do not work. I see that the timestamp attaches itself to the video ID in the media insert code, but it has never skipped to the proper time for me because the link that opens has no timestamp in it.

Does it not work for everybody else too? You can check on this random footage that I linked to 30:00.
The link looks like this:
https://youtu.be/D7SlK16o82o?t=1800
The code looks like this:

That embed starts at 30:00 for me.

Not really a grievance since I don't actually care but wat?

It's displaying my old avatard while I'm posting under a new one. Whatever.

Archive links for some reason are being buggy on here.

Anything I archive from "Archive,is" is being automatically changed to "Archive.md" and the text doesn't even change to a link text. I can't even link any word in a sentence because the link just disappears from the text (e.g. putting an archive link in the word (Archive) will make the link disappear)

Just out of interrest: have conversations a limited time to live and vanish after inactivity for 'good' or am I just being dumb not finding it anymore?

wait what the fuck it's not inserting the URL. https://archive.md/NAEVR
Inserting archive hyperlinks (for archive.md) hasn’t been working for a good few days now, maybe even a week.
Been hunting high & low, looked in the archive 101 post, to see if it was a phonefag issue. Haven’t found a reason why, yet. The link works fine when I copy-paste it in a browser window, just no hyperlink.
(Also noticed I couldn’t add links to two different things, earlier in the week, only was able to use one, or the other. No original & archive.)

Just noticed this same problem: archive.today links do not hyperlink. This issue must have started between the 10th and 13th of July.
