thats all it costs to lease a tesla? i know people paying more for cable or internet or their cell phone. fuck at that point why isn't everyone using one.$300/mo leased base Model 3s.
Because you can get a similarly equipped gas car with infinitely more range for half as much.thats all it costs to lease a tesla? i know people paying more for cable or internet or their cell phone. fuck at that point why isn't everyone using one.
really? i need a new car. good to know, just $150 a month for 8 yearsBecause you can get a similarly equipped gas car with infinitely more range for half as much.
It’s usually three years, not eight, and the ultra-low lease payments require a down payment and have relatively low yearly mileage restrictions.really? i need a new car. good to know, just $150 a month for 8 years
oh no i fucking hate tesla as a car company, i was mainly thinking about some ICE cars. Honestly i am half sure Musk is going to just roll Tesla into Space X the same way the failing Solar city got eaten up by Tesla once it started going to shit. Maybe spin starlink off and then combine tesla with it. the negative PR combined with how badly they fucked up with the cybertruck means they're in for a rude awakening come the end of the year in terms of deliveries. the fact musk has trump pitching them at the end of this quarter is hilariously tellingIt’s usually three years, not eight, and the ultra-low lease payments require a down payment and have relatively low yearly mileage restrictions.
Tesla’s lease requires a $1700 down payment (plus taxes and fees), has a limit of 10k miles a year, and is only two years long. If you want a three year lease, the price increases to $348/mo. This is for a $35,000 car ($42,500 car with a $7500 tax credit which the manufacturer gets to keep for leased vehicles).
Since Tesla is publicly traded and SpaceX isn't, SpaceX would need over $700b to buy Tesla that it doesn't have. Of course, Tesla has a lot, lot further to fall before it's at anything resembling fair market value for an auto company its size. At its current profitablity, something in the neighborhood of $100b is more fair.Honestly i am half sure Musk is going to just roll Tesla into Space X
obviously its not going to happen today, but something will have to have to happen. as it stands musk is hitting a 6 month low on tesla and i'm sure Starlink is hilariously profitable, and he has to be thinking "i did it with solar city, i can fucking do it again" and sales are slowing down harshly. i would not be shocked the stock goes under $100 before the end of the year.Since Tesla is publicly traded and SpaceX isn't, SpaceX would need over $700b to buy Tesla that it doesn't have. There's no obvious reason why, though. Tesla and Solar City had a pre-existing relationship prior to the acquisition. Solar City offered tesla owners free charging and got a sweet deal on tesla powerwall kits in return, which helped defray more of the cost of developing the gigafactory and custom cell technologies by providing a larger consumer base. It made sense for Tesla to acquire Solar City once it started failing; existing customers could all be tempted with more batteries, and due to the way solar city's leasing model worked, their installed infrastructure was also a huge asset and revenue stream.obviously its not going to happen today, but something will have to have to happen. as it stands musk is hitting a 6 month low on tesla and i'm sure Starlink is hilariously profitable, and he has to be thinking "i did it with solar city, i can fucking do it again" and sales are slowing down harshly. i would not be shocked the stock goes under $100 before the end of the year.
BYD would appear in America the moment tariffs dropped (I'd hope just reduced from 100% not removed given the pro dumping PRC subsidies they enjoy, which won't happen while Musk remains in favor). They are sold in markets with fairly strict safety regulations (eg using European or some comparable global NCAP rules) and bringing them up to US crash test standard likely wouldn't be that hard (more tests like protecting passengers without seatbelts etc). They seem okay, altho aesthetically I prefer the Hyundai Ioniq 6, which is a bit more distinctive and doesn't have the political baggage (and definite quality and design issues) Teslas now have.Chinese cars typically don't meet US safety regulations.
There are some practical reasons like E class Merc diesel is comfortable and has an extraordinary range.I've seen plenty of people of certain demographics buying used beemers and mercs and I doubt it's because those are cheap or reliable.

The lidar car he compared it with didn't crash into the wall, obviously.
Almost like relying only on optical is a shitty retarded idea.
With SJWs vandalizing Tesla EVs and launching a site doxxing those who own said EVs, good thing I never bought an EV.just making sure the Democrats lose the midterms big time.

Didn't they used to do the opposite tone: praising Musk, and "virtue signalling" by driving a Tesla?Leave it to Elon Musk to get confused liberals to start hating on EVs and actively persecuting anyone who owns one.
Yes but now Musk is literally a Nazi so they must vandalize people's cars and start fires to fight back against him. TDS is old news, its been replaced with MDS.Didn't they used to do the opposite tone: praising Musk, and "virtue signalling" by driving a Tesla?
