show some love for the eponymous beach fag

I'm a big fan of pretty much everything from My Back is Killing Me to How to Leave Town. I don't see much talk about the earlier albums. What do you think about them?

Idk, I never heard of them prior to now. They sound fine, not offensive or anything but not remarkable either. They sound a little too much like what I'd imagine redditors listen to, or something you'd hear in the background of a slightly dimmed establishment in Seattle where everyone thinks they're cool.

Plus I kind of hate the noncomittal style of vocals these bands engage in. It fits the hipster aesthetic, along with the name of the band.

5 out of 10, like drinking cold skim milk.

imo the numbered albums only get good at 3. 3 and 4 have some amazing songs from the band while 1 and 2 sound a lot like wills older band nervous young men more noisy and lo-fi songs which i personally dont really like

he nailed it.

The Sound Man is one of my favorites.
Sinner and When Will My Man Come are probably my favorites. Will Toledo is such an underrated artist. A modern day Lennon. I just wish the fan base wasn’t so terrible

I just try my best to not interact or associate with any 'fandom' anymore. CSH is a bit interesting since a lot of the early fans were /mu/ users but it makes sense how it turned out given the themes.

Yea idk why I was surprised to find that the whole fan base is filled with furfags after already hearing “DO YOU HAVE SOMETHING AGAINST DOOOOOGGGGGGSSSSS?!”
