The detractors of DSP always go far beyond when it comes to creative shit sometimes . Think about it, DSP is the only lolcow that got not only animations made mocking him, he got a muppet made out of his likeness as a parody and now also a videogame . The only other instance I can think about something like this happening is Super Gunt 64 (Hopefully these devs are not weirdos like the Gunt 64 guy) or when someone modded mexican lolcow Doomentio as Mario in SuperMario 64, but those were mods, this is a full videogame. Phill will definetely be seething about this and It's a Gundam will probably make a video promoting it since he's featured as a shopkeeper

I don't think it's illegal, it's clearly parody using nothing but clips of what Phil has actually said in a transformative manner. It's more like how South Park put Jared Fogle into one of their video games as a boss. Phil probably could get it taken down as "bullying" though Steam though.

That's the sad part, no one has defamed Phil more than he himself has. The only way Phil could win a defamation lolsuit is if he somehow sued himself. All the game creators are doing here is just adding a game to the memes we know and love.

Still, I would like to see him try. Hell, if he is smart then he can make his own lolsuit fund, bankrolled by the same three guys of course.

Just started playing the game since the mobile version is currently free (ripped a copy of the APK just in case) and it's super fun. Definitely worth trying.
If you want to archive a copy of the APK in case the game gets taken down, Lucky Patcher works well.
I was being a hater before but I  might purchase a copy just because I've actually played the dev's other two games and enjoyed them (once I removed the ads and cracked the IAPs )

Using someone's likeness is a real murky issue. I don't think Phil has the drive to actually go through a lawsuit, and will just bitch about this for a week.

It's actually pretty fun and catchy, the kind of game you play for 15 minutes during downtime.

The audio clips are hilarious, everything that happens on screen has a very fitting DSP quote.

If you like detracting, you'll like The Detractor.

Yeah but this is involving detractors, so what probably happens is you give the developer 5 bucks and then in like a week or two some gay shit comes out and someone involved will be accusing someone else of being a child molester and there will be screenshots of people trying to smear each other and you'll wind up feeling ashamed that you contributed to any of it.

There's no chance I'd pay literally anyone related to the DSP-sphere anything. That makes it a lot easier to absolve yourself when it inevitably all turns retarded.
