This one is Lord Hoppington. The smallest one I have named Pickles and I will post if I can get a good look. I also bought some Chamomile seeds yesterday to plant in the back as it is healthy for rabbits to nibble on. I wanted to convert a part of my yard into a wild garden with rabbit-friendly foods for them to snack on. Due to Null's encouragement I will start my seedlings today!

It has been over a decade since rabbits were around this area due to people having outdoor cats who killed all the local squirrels, birds, and rabbits. These deaths impact local populations for predators and in turn can really kill off fauna for an entire area. Keep your cats inside and encourage others to do the same. Cats are responsible for more environmental havoc and extinctions of animals than any other invasive species. Plus it's dangerous for your cat to be outside too!

Don't get me wrong, I love cats. I have cats. I sleep with one on me every night who is my kitty soulmate. I think cats are the perfect pet for most people because it's less responsibility than a dog and more people have dogs than who should have dogs. I have volunteered at shelters and been involved coordinating with independent rescue groups globally for all types of animals.

I just also advocate for wildlife as well and if push comes to shove, it's wildlife over cats. Cats are very dangerous to wildlife and it's very dangerous for your cat to be outside. Cars+ cats. Other predators + cats. Not being able to catch otherwise treatable diseases in your cat. It's a nightmare.

I don't think you can fault cats for doing what they do naturally. Like how lolcows are going to be cows no matter what. Cats have a high prey drive and even very well-fed cats STILL will hunt because that's what they were born to do. They form colonies, breed, hunt. But they're invasive in many areas and shouldn't be allowed to be. Almost 3,000 kills in a lifetime for a cat outside. Thats a lot especially for when an animal might not need to eat these animals to live.
 
My Sunday is pretty middle of the road so far. Thought about treating myself for a bit so I commissioned an art piece. Dude was finished but didn't deliver it to me (yet?). I really hope it was a bout of forgetfulness since he was a trusted artist with no problems for a full year, and recently moved places. Sent him a note about it so we'll see if I don't have to fight over it. Its only $30, but still my money.
Other than that, bathed my dog, and now going out shopping to get ingredients to make strawberry cake.
