EA is not really losing when hordes of Sims consoomers still buy every single pack that comes out, no matter how buggy they are.
Of course, I was more refering to the technical, useful side, because retarded white girls keep buying the game and all those dumb packs like it doesn´t cost 80 damn bucks....
They have jobs, duh. A couple thousand dollars is an egregiously large amount for vidya DLC but also not a lot of money in the grand scheme of having money, especially if you’re buying the packs as they release over 10 years instead of all at once. It also doesn’t seem like that much if an imposition to them because for a decent number of women who play the sims, they don’t really play much else. So they’ll spend the same amount on Sims that some neckbeard would spend on a haul of games in the Steam Summer Sale. And no, normies don’t know how to into piracy, as depressing as that reality is.
I'm posting here because this may be more relevant to this thread. In the last update of the game, relationships labels like "husband/wife" were replaced to more gender-neutral terms like "spouse". I thought this was already a thing in the game, but apparently not.

The only men in the Sims community are either gay, fucking around for youtube content, or coomers with heavily modded games. A game that's basically just "singleplayer house" or "virtual dolls" isn't usually of major appeal to males.
I disagree. I know several men who played the Sims 2 that were none of those things. Pescado from More Awesome Than Mordor, for example. He created a shit load of mods, none of them sexual, was married with a kid. Several other men on the forum were straight, with children or senior citizens, and if they were coomers they never mentioned it. Given the makeup of the forum, if they did mention it they would have gotten so much shit from the community. MATY was basically known as the Kiwi Farms of the Sims community back in the day, only with zero tolerance for doxing. Awesome forum, indeed. Even the teenage woohoo/pregnancy mod was seen as super gross there.
Over on the S3 side of things, Oniki Kay created Kinky World (basically if Wicked Whims and Basemental Drugs had a baby) and she's a French chick, and that mod allows for rape, incest, and beastiality.
Makes you miss Numenor/Cyjon/Twojeffs/jfade/Quaxi and other "more normal" male sim modders
Chris Hatch has good fixes but is a giant coomer and his SimPE version is full of softcore porn, Nopke is the closest to "old school" but is pronounpilled and I seriously doubt Lazyduchess is a "boy".
I remember NRAAS. He had some great mods. So did cmar. I didn't play TS3 much, the open world was always too much for my computer, even the top of the line one I had closer to it's EOL. You should have heard Pescado rant about the open world. He would go on and on for hours on IRC if you let him, and we did because we agreed. His biggest complaint was townies on world lots. They were either always completely empty or every single Sim would swarm the lot. No matter how much he tweaked it it was just awful.

I never got into into either mostly because story progression is too intrusive. It didn't matter what you planned for your sims, the game always took over their lives the moment you switched households. Once you came back, they either died, aged, married some ugly sim and had children or worse turned into an occult. I know alot of simmers wanted something like this since TS2 due to the "I want my sims high-school friends to age with them", but the way it works sucks.
I think Deaderpool's MCCC is supposed to let you have more control over story progression in 4. I've never played a save long enough to know, but my friend is practically an expert with MCCC and she seems to have pretty fine control over her humongous extended extended family.
