Goddam, I want off this ride. 20+ years ago I was worried about governments slowly edging towards tracking absolutely everything and introducing social credit score and 100% cashless systems (those two are the ultimate goal, I think). I'm blackpilled about all this because I see that they're not giving up and there's barely any pushback.
It’s just the “Great Reset”, you now have no privacy. Aren’t you happy? Seriously though, the best boycott is for everyone to go back to using cell phones that never advanced beyond 2005.

The problem with that is that the brain dead NPC niggercattle retards of the world won’t care about any of it and will probably buy into whatever Alphabet is selling. Doesn’t mean you have to accept it.

No, my displays work fine. You know the thing where it shows your displays in blue? It was just blank. Nothing there.

this thing?
what GPU and drivers?

The PS5 is generally a dogshit console (I've owned one BTW and sold it), I don't think the latest incarnation of the Xbox is any better either.
I think a PS5 is a bad buy, even if it is significantly cheaper. I've owned every PlayStation, and it is the worst one by far.
at this point, I agree with you. I bought a refurbished PS5 in january, and the fucking thing bricked on me from being accidentally unplugged while being in rest mode. i'm regretting dropping the money on that pile of shit. that is going to be my last console and strictly PC from here.
Until the 2g and 3g networks are dead and you can't use anything older than 2012.
they are already doing that here and carriers in the U.S are already doing that.

PS4 can brick themselves in the same way. PC is just a better buy. The PS3 is a better console that both its successors.

Why do PlayStation a brick themselves like that? Most other consoles can handle an unplugging much better. And not just the fact that a Nintendo can continue working even when unplugged these days.

Yeah, usually the chances of that are pretty slim, and in the 11 years i had my PS4 when it lost power due to power outtages and unpligged in the same manor, it never once tried to brick itself like that. it will go through its "integrity check" and whatnot, but never a full-on bricking like what is going on with the ps5's, and its a widespread problem. as a matter of fact, what influenced my decision to buy a PS4 11 years ago was because Xbox tried the DRM bullshit that sony is trying to quietly sneak in now. the ps5 is going to be my last console and I don't even want it back from the repair shop at this point.

I've not had any problems personally with a PS4 or PS5. So I can't comment one way or another. What pissed me off was lack of new games and the prices for the game games were more expensive than the same game on the PC.

They also want to push all the same consumer shit down your throat that often comes with a SmartTV. Have a load iffy privacy issues around the integrated mic in the controller amongst other things.

Looks like the aftermath of a crashed display driver. You should either restart the display driver (I use restart64.exe from CRU for that) or disable and re-enable the GPU in Device Manager.
did you read the fourth sentence of the post or are you too spastic to read that far

Sometimes I wish I could just take a bat to my PC and walk away from tech entirely at this point. Unfortunately, though, I've dug myself in way too deep....parents, don't buy your kid a computer for his 10th Christmas and then give him unregulated internet access. That was over 20 years ago.
