Tim is going off hard on being ignored. You can see how much it bothers him that he doesn't get the slightest bit of acknowledgment for his efforts. He is Number 2 on the charts. That, theoretically, should mean his song is well on its way to financial success, and that lots of people listened and enjoyed it. But it doesn't matter to him because what he wants more than anything, the reason he's doing all this stupid shit, is to get recognized by the journalist class.

Yes, you idiot! It's called "blacklisting", it has existed as long as business has existed. And I love how his very first example email where he bitches about the journos (you don't get a timestamp, watch the whole video, it's hilarious) is "I'm one of the establishment media shills Tim whines and complains about".
Exactly. You spend all your time rebelling and being "anti-establishment", and then get upset and angry when they don't acknowledge you? Why would they? You spent all this time positioning yourself as an enemy, did you think that would have no cost at all?
Tim really is a slacktivist trying to enter the business world and not understanding things at all. I don't get it. I know what KF is, I know why we're all here, but even though Tim is a lolcow I have never once thought he was genuinely autistic. This level of self-denial is bordering on autistic. Nigger, how do you not understand basic human interaction, you talk to people every night! I don't watch your talk show, but I assume you don't just point at every guest and say "you're a liar, also you're an oathkeeper, and if you don't quit your job and leave your city then you are a failure as a parent". You can't just insult people, repeatedly, and then expect them to promote you, that's not how life works.
But it's more than that. Let's pretend, for a moment, that Tim hasn't spent the last decade bitching about the press. Let's pretend, for the moment, that Tim is not a racist, that he is not an extreme right-wing individual who literally said "I believe life begins at conception, but women should be able to get abortions anyway because I'm a libertarian and the government cannot interfere with medical procedures". Let's pretend that Tim is the non-confrontational, non-controversial individual that he pretends to be every night.
Tim is still a complete disgrace. He is a mockery of what it means to be a journalist. Tim was originally a boots-on-the-ground reporter, and his shtick works just fine for that, but he stopped that years ago. Now he's basically a news anchor. And you know what news anchors don't do? They don't wear beanies indoors. News anchors don't film themselves alone in their bedrooms. News anchors show up to work crisp, fresh, with a suit. All they have is their reputations and they work damn hard to earn and preserve them. Guess what you don't hear on CNN? You don't hear "ums". You don't hear "errs"
