Not to give the heifer any more excuses, but this one is plausible.

I'm not sure about America but here dentists often advise that braces are optional if the crooked teeth do not interfere with day to day activities, are still easily cleaned and don't harm social aspects of people's lives.

I haven't seen a good pic of ALs teeth but a dentist may well have said that because 1) she's too poor for braces anyway and 2) they aren't so bad a bit of extra effort (that AL won't make) to keep them clean means they will remain healthy.

She said in her "100 facts about me" video that she had a gap between her front teeth as a kid, but it "fixed itself", and then her teeth became "perfect" so the doctor said it was up to her whether or not she wanted them.

You guise, dentists are as dumb as doctors, don't you know that?

How in the hell do you fix a gap yourself? Why do orthodontists even exist? Bunch of money sucking leeches, I tell you.

That's why the big fat moron needed the braces . I can't explain the exact mechanism as I'm not a dentist, but teeth will move , for instance, to close where there's a gap. So one side of the idiot's teeth shifted to fill that gap, making everything off center. She should have taken (most likely ) free braces. But it would have interfered with her being gorgeous.
 
Her gap closed because her wisdom teeth grew in, I guess in Amber speak that's the same as it fixing itself?

But that caused a new problem, her wisdom teeth smushed her two front teeth to align with her right nostril instead of in the center of her nose. I wouldn't be surprised if her wisdom teeth are impacted, she's been complaining on and off since Krystle-era about them.
