Idk, she just told me this morning at 3 am that she thinks she isn't trans anymore. I didn't know where else to put this so I'm putting it here. Ok so, my partner is mtf and she transitioned about a month ago but only to her friends. She told me that she probably isn't going to come out to her parents and won't transition until she looks fully like a girl. I'm worried that the pressure has gotten to her because I felt the same (except the opposite because I'm ftm).

I'm also worried because she told me in her message that (this might be tmi) it might be because she was watching too much porn and that's why she's trans. The thing is, I've seen her have dysphoria and she gets so happy when I call her a girl so I'm just so confused. I asked her to talk I'm just waiting for her to get up. I have a female paranoid schizophrenic in my family and she recently has been having issues with a neighbor not her fault but wanted a pocket knife for "protection". My fear was she'd use it on someone innocent in a paranoid state. So I told her to get pepper spray easier to handle and use and will take a person down and you won't be charged with attempted murder if things go south.

What is it with broads and knives?

Yeah, sure I carry a knife around but it's a small Swiss army knife I use for cutting things, opening bottles, and it has a small screw driver on it if I need one while out and about. It's a small multi-tool that comes in handy it's not for protection fuck if someone had a gun or knife on me I'd be dead before I could pull it out. The worry for females picking a knife as a "self defense" option is it takes a particular type of person to put cold steel in someone up close and personal in a fight.

This isn't just theory, if you read sources like Col Grossmans "On Killing" which used to be required reading for a lot of Police and Military Officers training, it becomes increasingly difficult for people psychologically to to commit to using weapons as the range shortens.
Just about anyone can pull a trigger at a distance where its just an outline, as the range shortens to where you can see its a person the amount of people who freeze up goes up, when it gets down to knife range the number is even higher.
And this is among professional military and police.
Even in street fight scenarios, a lot of people who carry knives for defense end up freezing and getting the knife taken off them and used against them.
Its just not a good choice for a slight built female if the deterrent factor doesn't stop them and the attacker decides to get physical anyway.

Get some pepper spray or even better a CCW, but the best of all is situational awareness, keep aware and don't get into the situation where you need it.

This is assuming we're talking about a sane, mentally stable person.
I'm 100% for the 2A and the right to bare arms, I think everyone should exercize their rights, but I'm not too sure about mentally ill, unstable, paranoid Pooners, on levels of testosterone that frequently cause roid rage, carrying knives about, especially when they are paranoid and being egged on by other insane trannies about "trans genocide" especially when "genocide" to them means being questioned about why they're trying to use the wrong bathroom.

Anyone who doesn't at least carry a pepper spray is either very confident in the safety of the area, or a fool. Or possibly Swedish, considering any form of self-defence is illegal there. It's a civilized country, you're expected to simply let yourself be raped. Yes, they actually arrested me for having a tiny can of pepper spray in my jacket pocket, it's an awful place, avoid it.

Feeling the need to arm yourself for safety really might just be a woman thing though. I've only met a handful of men who would carry a defence spray or a knife, and the latter would have considered the former to be faggots, and the unarmed ones would look down on both for not just "manning up". Men don't really need to carry weapons most of the time, even completely untrained they are still strong enough that just a stick or a rock off the ground can be a lethal weapon. That's not really an option for most women. And men aren't usually the victims of crime in the first place, they're too dangerous for the criminals to go after. It's why I'm so opposed to weapon laws, criminals will just break the law and be armed anyway, so they only stop law-abiding people from defending themselves, and disproportionally affect women.
