You can avoid your kid trooning out by actually parenting your child. Most of the groomed troons we see here that are minors have had their cries for help ignored by their parents, or the parents simply lets their kids run rampant online with little to not supervision.
If your kid is autistic, you do everything opposite of what Barb and Bob did with Chris - you get that kid some therapy to learn how to deal with their autism related difficulties, you don't buy the kid friends, take an interest in what your child does and actually spend time with your kid instead of letting TV/the internet raise them.
If your autistic child suddenly becomes depressed because they aren't like the others, because they're autistic, you take the fucking time needed to help them through it. Be like the chad father who did everything in his power to help his teenaged/young adult autistic kid realise the mistakes he's about to make by trooning out.
Same goes for kids who are atypical regardless of what their troubles are - personality disorders, anxiety, depression, whatever the fuck. If you are a parent and your kid starts exhibiting the telltale traits of trooning out, you either failed to parent your kid entirely, you have a pornsick kid or your kid has something undiagnosed and you need to fucking help that kid.
It has nothing to do with your race, religion, political leanings or wealth and everything to do with failing to be a good parent to your kid, and doing the bare minimum of raising them.

The truth is that very, very few parents nowadays actually parent their children. Even the best parents think that being a great parent means spending time with your kid on the weekend, looking through school reports, and listening to your child when they speak, when those are the bare minimum. Most modern people are, in fact, raised by either the school system or the internet, most of the time a combination of these two, because that's where they spend their entire time, that's where they find advice, that's where they speak the most. So, if you want your son to not be a weird failure, make sure you're the one he spends most of his time with, which will inevitably make him copy your behavior and accept your lessons as truth. Or, if you have no other option, actually control and vet what sort of content he consumes and try to find a school that isn't going to fuck his head up.

I don't know why, but even genuinely smart people I know have turned absolutely nuts on the trans topic if they are a trans ally. When I talked about my concern about giving HRT and puberty blockers to kids to close friend of more than a decade, who is otherwise both nuanced and empathetic, he told me to my face: 'All this time, I thought you were a good person, I didn't think you were so evil.' I'm less offended that he said this, but rather he said something so impulsive and stupid.
We still kind of keep in contact, but there is clearly a fracture between us, even if the topic hasn't been brought up again. I still think there's hope that he will see things from my perspective, but I think that best way is to just let trannies be trannies, and hope he notices.

Again, parents need to check and drill down on their own philosophies, values and behaviors before thinking those are worthy of emulation. And good parents aim to equip their children with critical thinking skills and the ability to observe something without immediately adopting it. They should think and question (generally speaking, not frivolous obsession over “does my penis really mean I’m a boy”?).
And that goes in all directions - Alex P. Keaton needed to be a Reagan-Republican, even though his parents were loyal to their own hippy youth; what mattered was the values they did impart about being a good person (politics-neutral values) and equipping their kid with, and supporting, his curiosity and well-reasoned path. Parents shouldn’t think they should control their kids’ thought (influence, but not control; controlling media exposure is different and probably good, especially if your kid has social or mental challenges), but rather aim to provide the foundational elements of self-esteem, self-control, and discernment, in service of developing their life-capability, intrepidness, resilience, positive productivity in life, and self-protection.
