Bullying video essayists and twitter audiences is fine and good but I thought making fandoms overly pornographic might do the thing. What do y'all personally think of it, though?

Does seem like a pretty harmless game. But I know with the "so retro" aesthetics and the fact you can customize your character to your liking, I know it's gonna be ripe with that certain crowd. Getting lots of Animal Crossing vibes from these, too—and I don't mean that in a good way.

It looks pretty cool. But every time I see a retro styled game, I have a strong suspicion that the developer is either a tranny, a tranny sympathizer, or anything in between.

You had the sprite artists at Square making sprites with tons of depth because that's the artstyle they felt best complimented the stories they wanted to tell.

The sprite artists at Squaresoft had a profoundly deep understanding of the nature of CRT televisions and the capabilities of the snes, something no tranny would ever be able to appreciate or even comprehend. Just take a look at all the details the artists put into arranging the color pallet for Secret of Mana at the 9:30 mark, and then putting just as much emphasis on the temperature pallet for Trials of Mana later:

Compare that to trash like celeste, where the troon doesn't look like he'd even be able to spell words like shading and depth. Sprites are a legitimate form of art with their own nuance, complexity, and standards to adhere to. Seeing a vulnerable narcissist shit a blob of pixels out of his front hole and demand people treat him with the same respect as the 16-bit giants makes me want to puke.

So, why do they do this? Probably because it's all they know. These people went to California-based Colleges or other progressive-based institutions for education, this is the best they were taught, and they didn't want to go any further than that. Or maybe they think trying to replicate the more painting-esque style is too "outside their comfort zones". The Tumblr generation is one of complacency. It's why people like Kosher call them lazy. They think they can just get by by taking what little they know and tossing it into a low-poly PS1 game or a 16-bit SNES game without wanting to push themselves any further, cause Tumblr taught them that their imperfections are to be celebrated, not improved upon.

It's partly the tumblr influence, but also remember that these freaks are desperate to chase the fortune that the 2012 indie game documentary promised them when they were teenagers. Trannies were too late to ride the wave that super meat boy and phil fish's Cave Story ripoff created with the simple art style and minimalist game design, but they still think if they copy those techniques they'll find similar success. This why at the end of the day every all tranny games fundamentally look identical regardless of the genre or the hardware the game is allegedly emulating.

There are also retro-style indie games that pull off things that the original hardware or engine was never capable of doing.

The best example that comes to mind are the multitude of Doom mods that take advantage of limit-removing source ports, for things like better music, more colors, etc. Yet they still do their best to stay true to the style regardless.

The best example I know of is Stronghold: On The Edge of Chaos.

I think overall presentation matters more than a specific art style. A lot of retro-style games look bad not because of CRT effects or whatever but because the art is just bad. Look at FTL for example. There's no scanlines but it still looks pretty good because the art doesn't suck.

Btw most of those tranny games are based on Unity, Godot or even UE5

There are also a few weird customizations such as ahegao mouths and the “boykisser face”. Most of them are normal but these are very weird. I really hope this game doesn't attract youngins because those niggas are gonna get GROOMED.
Aside from all this it’s mostly inoffensive but I see it going really bad with tranny groomers. The chat is unmoderated and there’s areas you can freely draw on (this would have raid potential, if it wasn’t 5 whole dollars).

Tranny sperging is easy but just being low poly or uncanny isn’t woke alone. Celeste is easy to label a tranny game as it has a troon flag and themes but shit like Overkill and Cruelty Squad is harder without going on Dev Twitter. Put those games next to indie games with similar themes and styles like Hotline Miami or Postal: Brain Damaged. Even the in the know gamer would be hard pressed to pick out the troon game from gameplay alone. We can’t jaw line pixels on unless the devs allow us too and that makes it difficult compared to seeing or hearing trannies themselves.
