The statement is absolutely insane to say the least. If he was smart he would have sent that by a PR agent and possibly even a lawyer, but it's pretty obvious he wrote that out alone in haste. It doesn't help as well that the edit patrol won't let him change it at all without complaining, so it stays the way it was.

The fact that no criminal proceedings took place makes me think it couldn't have been tooooo bad (sending explicit photos, etc), but still there is no way to look at Doc's statement and not come away with the conclusion he engaged in at least some noncery. I'd imagine if she was lying about her age or if in reality it wasn't really that kind of convo but looked kind of bad out of context, he would have said as much in his statement. But the fact that he didn't means it probably is as bad as people are imagining and he expects the screenshots to leak and doesn't want to be caught out by it.

Yeah, short of him showing the logs himself and them somehow not being anything out of the ordinary, there is no way for him to get out of this without coming off as a nonce.

Whether he can do that is a bit unclear.

He's heavily implied there's an NDA, but also that the NDA was invalidated due to former Twitch employees gossiping about the situation (which makes no sense to me, but so be it). If the NDA was invalidated, then he could elect to share the conversations.

However, Twitch whispers have been defunct for years and he's probably locked out of his account. Unless he has archives or logs due to the litigation that followed, he might not be able to retrieve them to exonerate himself.

I think the unconfirmed reports are false because if she was 17 the dude would not hesitate or blink twice saying she was 17 without an entire shitshow happening. I mean yeah it is wrong but I am sure everyone has went to high school to know some people were fucking under the age of 18. I've seen enough retards go raving mad over 17.9 years "pedo scandals" to disagree with that. The fallout would have still been really bad, and there's no reason to go that route when "Twitch staff tried to fuck with me" or a silent settlement are so much better options. I'm not sure I buy this theory though, it's super convenient and since Doc would be unable to confirm it as part of the settlement, it's borderline impossible to prove.
