I'm still pretty convinced that Oasis is an elaborate practical joke and never actually existed. I grew up in the 90s and listened to the radio, but the first time I ever heard of Oasis was in the 2000s, when I was told that there was this suuuuuuuper popular British band that had released all these great songs that everybody loved, and they were troubled amd kinda retarded, but were brillant, amaaaaazing songwriters. And then they'd play "Wonderwall," or whatever, and it was a boring, terrible song, with lyrics that make no sense. It feels like a prank, or a psyop, or something, to see how far they can trick the music-listening public into "remembering" a band that never existed, and convincing them that obviously terrible music is actually good.
